I spent the day at TL but it was pretty chilly (low 80s that day!) so I decided to call it quits early and head to DTD to start making my Xmas list and to get the Holiday Sandwich at Earl!!

LOL, that is funny! Low 80s is chilly?! It obviously doesn't take much to get used to the warm Florida weather...a week or so ago my mom got an email from my sister and she said one morning when she was going to work it was around 70 and she thought it was cold. I don't know what she's going to do when she comes back to WI in January...

Anyways...it's so fun that you get to have so many DIS meets now that you live near WDW! Great dining reviews too.

I've always been tempted to try that holiday sandwich at EoS, but I've just never gotten around to it. I get so distracted by other things that they have.

I always forget that you can do lunch and Finding Nemo at Animal Kingdom. Good to know that you can request a later time in case you're running late.

It has turkey, stuffing, gravy, and cranberries I believe. It is super good and filling!!!

The Nemo lunch was a great new experience for us but you really have to watch the time of how long it takes to walk there and when the show is! We showed up 15 mins before the show and 5 mins after that, the place was packed!!

Hi Dis Friends..ready for another restaurant review?!!

A few weeks ago, my friend "B" and I were at dinner and she disclosed to me that she still had her WDW Holiday Coupons from last year. She had her 50% and 40% to use and decided we should go to dinner somewhere good to use those. Of course she wanted Ohana..booked. She wanted Cali Grill..booked. She wanted Boma..booked + not sure I'm so crazy about that meal. BUT...We were able to get a 5:05pm ADR for Chef Mickeys!!!

B and I met at CR around 4:45pm and headed into the resort to check in!

I thought the restaurant opened at 4:30pm but it turns out that it opens at 5!

We took the PP pic, sat down, and were called within 10 mins. We were seated in the same seat that I sat at in March with my mom and friend "K"!!!

We met our server and she took our drink orders..diet coke for me and coke for B!!

We gave our orders and off we went!

The salad was great, the shrimp was great, and the soup was great but a tad cold. We weren't even 1/2 way done with our first plates when Donald arrived!

Minnie insisted that the character attendant take a pic with the 3 of us!

Finally we were able to hit the food again!

I forgot to take a pic of my 2nd plate but I did get the ravioli, broccoli, mashed potatoes, salmon, and something else I think??

Goofy then arrived..he was not very Goofy!

And finally the Chef!!

He also insisted on a pic with all of us!

After Mickey left, I hit the food again!

Finally dessert!!!

Both were delicious! My 2 plates of main course food were great as well!

Our server took our 50% coupon and gave us the bill.

On the way out, I took a small ice cream cone and then was stuffed to the max! We ended up being there for an hour + half!!



REVIEW...

NEW/OLD: Old for both B and I.

Price: $27.45 each including tip. We used her 50% coupon and both paid OOP with credit cards. I can't believe how much it would have been had we not had the coupon!!!

I gave the meal a 5/5. I loved everything about the meal, characters, and service.

B gave the meal a 5/5 as well! B loved everything as well and had a horrible experience last time she had gone and this experience was great for her!

We did not buy the $31 photo but it was super cute!

We would both go back!!!!!

I couldn't believe it either! When I ate there in March with my mom and friend K, I said the same thing and was glad we were on the DDP! I don't think I'd pay OOP for the meal again! It's almost borderline 2 DDPs!!

PTR!! DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS!!!!

I'm back again for another PTR!!!!

Here are the details....

HOW/WHO/WHY:
It all started a few weeks ago when Danielle (iheartdduck) and I were planning a meet when she came to town with her friend. At the last minute the girls had to cancel their trip! Danielle contacted me a few days later and said her friend was going to join them for their New Years trip but she still wanted to come for food and wine so I said I'd be up for a weekend at WDW!! She booked her trip with a few days of me around, one day alone, and then her brother will join her for the rest of the trip! I'm excited for another Dis Meet/Weekend!!!!

WHEN: My dates are: November 4-6, 2011 and Danielle's are November 5-12 (I think?!), 2011.

WHERE: I of course was on board with those who are avid resort changers. At one point, I was on the fence about all 3 All Stars and not even POP since I couldn't get it with my AP Discount. I was fully ready to book with AS Music (haven't stayed there before) until I decided to play with the dates and add on a Friday stay and then like Disney magic, the discount kicked in so I'll be at...

I've called to request building 10 in the 70s section which I believe is near this.

I've stayed in building 10 3x, building 6 1x, and a building in the very back for the bed bug issue in 2010..we'll pray that doesn't happen again!

I'm also getting the QS DDP (which is why I didn't book with a friend's CM discount):

SCHEDULE:


FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4, 2011:

-I'll be working that day but as soon as work is over, I'll probably head right over to POP and check in.

-Since Danielle won't be arriving until the following morning, I'll probably relax at the pool (weather permitting), possibly go to a park or DTD but I will for sure be eating this for dinner!!

-I'm sure Danielle will be packing that day and getting even more excited!!

-I'll head to bed early because the following 2 days will be crazy!!!

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 5, 2011:

-I'll wake up before the sun and grab a light breakfast at:

-I'm off to a park to hopefully collect some fast passes!

-Depending on the time, I'll either meet Danielle at CBR for lunch before a park or eat at:

After Danielle and I meet up, we'll head to DHS and RIDE!!!!

Later that day/night, we'll head to:

MK is open till 1am next week!!!

I'm sure (hopefully?) we will eat dinner there. My top pick is:

I also like Pecos Bills and PVH. As long as it isn't Cosmic Rays. I've been eating there a lot lately and would like to change it up!

After we ride till we drop, we'll head back to our resorts and crash till the next morning!

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 6, 2011:

-The alarm will go off early again!

-At that point, I'll check out of POP, drive, and head to:

-We'll ride maybe see shows and eat lunch!

-Danielle's pick is:

-I checked out the menu but wasn't too thrilled with it so I might grab something else and meet her in the AC but I'm thinking one of the following..

I'm not sure how long into the evening I'll stay since I'll be working on Monday morning but I'll try to hold out as long as possible!

MONDAY NOVEMBER 7, 2011:

My mini vacation will be over but I think Danielle and I are going to make plans to have dinner at DTD before she has to go to MCO and collect her brother!!!

MICKEY MAIL!!!!!

I had booked my trip pretty close to the arrival date so I had no idea if I would receive the WDW package before I left or upon arrival but it came within 2 days of booking!

I was happy I got two tags even though it's just me in the room!

So..we are 6 days away from the trip!!!!! I'm excited to meet/hang out with another Dis fanatic!


In other news...

I'M GOING TO MVMCP ON NOVEMBER 9TH!!!!!! The first party is on the 8th but I'm going with a group of friends on the 9th. They are all CMs so we'll be getting tix at $39+tax. I'm thrilled to be going once in November and then with my family in Dec!!! On Nov 10th or 11th?, the lights at DHS will begin and I'll be going for that as well!!! I believe there are going to be some other Diser's here that weekend so weekends will be busy = I love it!!!!

There's so much to look forward to after next week, I can't wait!!!

I'm seriously considering a solo trip in my future..I have AP's now, and Brandon doesn't want to go anymore after our anniversary trip in May, so I was thinking maybe late August/early September IF was brave enough to try a solo trip! It just seems like something I need to do!

Well, you know what they say about great minds thinking alike.....I love Columbia Harbour House, so it looks like we'll be eating there during our Magic Kingdom evening.

I'm sorry the Restaurantasaurus menu wasn't too appetizing for you. We'll figure it out though.

Crazy that all of a sudden Magic Kingdom is open until 3am on Saturday night! When I saw that, I was thinking, what the heck is going on that it needs to be open that late?! I always thought this was a slower time of year.

It's getting close! I just need to get out of here is what I need.

You will get a full report about MVMCP. Being that the 2nd party I'll go to will either be the last Friday party or the very last party on a Sunday, I'm sure it will be packed so I'll take full advantage of a hopefully less crowded party!!

I can't believe about the 3 am either I was at DTD today and it was pretty busy but it was a Sunday afternoon so I'm not shocked. I was at Epcot 2 days last week and it was also pretty busy but it was Food and Wine + Boyz II Men so I'm sure that was why!

I was in building 1 and this was Dec 2010. We checked the room for bed bugs and saw a few bugs in the fold of the mattress of one of the beds. It's a long story but it was the most horrific encounter I've had with a manager CM of the front desk who accused me of lying since his hotel/beds are always inspected. Anyways..to make a long story short, I never asked for a refund, upgrade, or resort change but they were able to find us a room far away at POP since their resort was "sold out" and it ended up being fine for the one night we were there before WL. When told WL the story of POP, they sent a cookie plate to our room and a lovely card. I wrote to the POP GM and was sent 3 1 day park hopper tickets for the trouble but once again never asked for anything...just a clean room of which I paid for

I'll keep my fingers crossed for on Friday but my CM friend from CSR is working her "magic" as she calls it so we'll see what magic she can come up with!

Sorry for the snow! That's one of the reasons why I moved back to FL We're still waiting for the candlelight narrator!!!!

If you book a package with dining whether it's AP or regular Disney reservation, you should get the luggage tags but if you book with DVC or a room only, I don't think you do.

I can't wait till the party next week!!! I hear from Dis FB group that they are turning the castle lights on tomorrow so I might have to check that out after work! Since I'll be at the resort, I have no problem taking a bus over, looking at the lights, and leaving! The joys of an AP!!! I think the Osborne lights start on the 10th? I'm off on the 11th so I plan on checking them out on the 10th after work (if I'm not dead from the party the night before) or for sure on the 11th!!

Today my Mickey Monitor arrived for November! I didn't know if I would get one since my old AP just expired and wasn't sure if I would get it in time after I got my new AP but it came!!!

Today, my friend B and I met at Epcot so I could get some festive WDW for MVMCP next week! She also bought our party tickets!!!

I hear that the may turn on the castle lights as early tomorrow so I might check those out after work/check into resort. They are turning the DHS lights on on the 10th so I'll check those out on the 10th or I'm off the 11th so maybe then or maybe both days!!!
