Thanksgiving is mainly an american thing and canada counting there kinda thanksgiving I know that is why neopets does very little for thanksgiving to maybe the same with vmk? Just a wonder

uh.. November has barely started yet.. how do we know if they will do Thanksgiving or not? Plus, they did the 4th of July which is mainly an American Holiday, so I'm sure they will acknowledge Thanksgiving with a quest or a hat or a pin..

Maybe I didn't think of that :o just a wonder something to think about and they released only 2 things this halloween they released alot just liek christmas

tehy already did something for thanksgiving turkey pin lol

Well i wouldn't exactly say the 4th is a huge holiday.. I'd say that 2 things is kinda a lot for a holiday only celebrated in one country.. Thanksgiving is i would say slightly higher up on the chain of holiday importance than the 4th so i'm sure we'll get something.

P.S. here is my holiday chain of importance (from most to least important)

Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, 4th of July, St Patrick's Day

So far this year, we have seen all of these celebrated except Easter.. and of course we haven't seen Thanksgiving or the full effects of Christmas yet

I think them skipping Thanksgiving has a lot more to do with the marketing world and less to do with the importance of the holiday.

We will probably get a pin for the day but I doubt more than that...

Look at the stores locally they go from Halloween decorations to Christmas decorations just like VMK

And Disney itself has special events for Halloween and Christmas in the parks but doesn't have the same for Thanksgiving either.

I think it is just following along with everything else... and although more attention to Thanksgiving would be fun- I certainly didn't expect it.

I think they will maybe have a pin for something special on thanksgiving, but we don't need to go crazy with thanks giving decor and stuff.

I'm pretty sure a pin is all they'll do. I'm Canadian, so we've already had Thanksgiving, and the most you see in stores for the Holiday is the turkey. *Shrugs*

no thanksgiving in Ireland
i would like some thanksgiving stuff though-turkey and dinner stuffs and a table!

I honestly believe VMK is trying to follow the park to the best of their ability.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins on November 13th and the decorations are up before then.

Walt Disney World also celebrates Thanksgiving. I would bet anything vmk will be celebrating Thanksgiving even though the Christmas decorations are up...Walt Disney World does.

I am thinking that they will do a thanksgiving quest this year, for a thanksgiving pin or something.

I remember last year, we had an event for Thanksgiving.
Remember when we had to go to different rooms, and look at the pictures on the walls. Then, with the pictures, take the first letter of what was in them. Finally, when all the pictures came out, we put the letters together to come up with some popular Thanksgiving foods.

My parents say it's because Thanksgiving doesn't make a lot of money, which makes sense, as lately everything in vmk seems to need money, such as the new pirate cards along with the old...

Just a thought,
Lion

They never said Thanksgiving wasn't going to be celebrated, heh. I do believe VMK will have a Thanksgiving event whether it be a quest or whatever. lol. Just because there are Christmas decorations up doesn't mean they are excluding Thanksgiving.

Here is my holiday chain FOR VMk

VMK Bday , Halloween , Christmas , ThanksGiving , 4th Of July , St Patricks Day , Easter , Mothers Day/Fathers Day , GroundHogs Day , New Years , Veterans Memorial and Columbus Day

As I recall, VMK didn't do a thing with Thanksgiving last year, not even a pin. I don't think you can even say the word "thanksgiving" on VMK.

Come on, VMK, what's up with that?

Pink, they had that Thanksgiving event. heh...I had to sit in a room and help people with it as I am a community leader. They had to solve the missing letters. Each room had a picture with the hint. Each NPC gave clues. At the end, the missing letters spelled "Turkey" or "Pumpkin Pie" I can't remember which lol.

The event lasted a couple of days and each new day a new NPC gave another clue. You had to submit your answer through the Contact Us.

I think its because it wouldn't be fair to all the other people who play INTERNATIONALLY because they celebrate thanksgiving in a different time of the year not just at Novemeber. Because Canada celebrates it in October and it wouldn't be very fair to have decor. up when that holiday has past right?
