I just returned from Epcot and I am sorry to say that Rose and Crown no longer serves Tennants Lager. The servers had no explanation. Oh well, Harps isn't bad!

Harps is good, yep.

Well, looks like the Rose and Crown has also been hit..lol.

All the restaurants, bars and stands seem to be missing a lot of great things..or will be in the near future. Jeesh..disney what are you thinking!!!

That's bad news indeed.

However, I'll get even more upset if Rose & Crown discontinues Boddington's Ale. it's one of the few bars/pubs I've visited which sells it draft rather than in a 20 oz can.

Sorry to hear. It may be mutiny if they remove Boddington's ;-) It appears they are changing brews at some places. Besides Tennants, Ringnes was no longer available in Norway and at the Biergarten, Beck's is off the menu but they replaced it with three other brands. The Franziskaner Weissbier is imho excellent and a great addition.Franziskaner

Is Harp's a good lighter beer? I liked Tennants for that reason.

If this keeps up, Disney is going to drive me to not drinking. :earseek:

Unfortunately at Epcot, it appears that pavillion sponsorship has a lot (if not all) to do with what beer they serve. With Tennants and Ringnes, that's bad.
With Becks--that's good!!

Thanks for the link. That's one OLD brewery!!!
Considering Yuengling advertises itself as Americas oldest brewery (1829), Franziskaner has been brewing beer 5 CENTURIES prior to that...

After going back and reading Disbug's solo trip report (in anticipation of the solo portion of my upcoming trip) I had made a note to try the Tennants Lager because she spoke so highly of it. Now it appears I won't get the chance. I was already disappointed that I never had the chance to try Ringnes. :(

I'm happy to hear that at least Germany is adding some new selections. I look forward to trying those in December.

 This makes me quite upset as Tennants was my favorite beer in WDW. R&C was the only place in the US I could find it. Well this will just be a small pothole in the road and just means I will have to find another favorite (besides Black & Tans of course:teeth: ) to try at R&C...maybe the Boddingtons will be on my list.:D

You're welcome. Great to hear from you Uncleromulus.

I notice that you are in MA. I think they may have Tennant's at the British Beer Company, four locations on/near the Cape (Plymouth, Sandwich, Hyannis and Falmouth.) In any case, try the Boddington's. It is one of my favorites (or should I say favourites?)
