No Studios at BCV

I just called to change our 1 br res and get 2 studios instead. Guess what? There are none for May 30th -June 5.

I don't know what to do since we just want a girl place and a boy place, it is a want but also with step children I feel it would be best and everyone wants the pool.

What options do I have? I really want the studios. Should I request a wait list? What are the odds?

Being under the 7 month mark its no surprise that all of the studios are booked at BCV; I've never had much luck with last minute (anything under 7 mos there is last minute) bookings there because it is a small resort.

I would wait list and see what happens. If you are planning on a significant amount of pool time, I would not give up BCV. Because you want 2 studios, not one, it will be more difficult so I'd prepare to stay in the one bedroom but hope for the best.

Do you have enough points to hold the 1 bedroom while you waitlist for 2 studios? I would certainly try doing that. Is a 2 bedroom an option?

It would be less points for 2 studios than a 1 br and a 2 br is out of the question. I just don't own a lot of points.

The kids love the pool and so do I! It will be hot and the pool is a factor.

I will see if I can wait list the studios one at time and hope for the best. I am so stupid to realize after making the res that we will need more room.

I hope you get them! There's still time between now and the end of May. Can you hold the one bedroom and the studio (if one comes through) while you're waiting for the other studio? I think the studios are more likely to become available one and a time and not both together.

Since we are allowed 2 waitlists, I would think that you can waitlist for each studio, provided you don't have any other active waitlists.

I would say your chances of securing 2 studios would be pretty low. Best of luck though.

My suggestion would be to get a 2br (you will probably have to waitlist) for the 30th – 4th and get discounted DVC cash reservation for the Friday night. Yes it is $600 for the one night but you are using 26 less points so it is really only about $300 more and having a kitchen will save you that much easily.

You can make the cash reservation (with no down payment) while you waitlist. Since you can cancel (be sure to remember or you will be charged) it up to5 days before travel if your waitlist does not fill.

DVC was very kind today and put me down to wait list 2 studios. I thought I had to have the points to cover the studios we are waiting and the 1 br but they explained that they will wait the studios and then cancel the 1 br if and only if we get 2 studios.

So the chances are low, we do have a place to stay and if it comes down to that or nothing I choose the 1 br.

We are on the waitlist for BCV for that same week. We are currently at BWV in a studio. We had a change of dates. I'll be ok if we're at BWV, but am hoping for the pool at BCV, too. We'll see what happens. Good luck to us both!!

Last week, I was able to move my DSis from BWV to BCV for the time period, July 1-5 in a studio. Yes, it includes a weekend, but still, I'm so glad we'll all be able to enjoy SAB together. The rest of us are in a dedicated 2 bedroom, BCV. Can't wait to experience July 3rd and 4th's fireworks!

We also have a studio at BCV for June 29th to July 4th. Was shocked to get it.
