'No- Strings" Fast Passes (hand written)- do they expire?

We gratefully received 3 yellow 'no-strings' fast passes for any MK attraction from one of the managers at CRT last week, after they heard about our horrible experience with everyone in our party getting the stomach flu and being resort-bound for pretty much all but our last 2 park days. Unfortunately, they were given to us on our last day and we weren't able to use them (my DS was still back at the hotel room, puking, and I had to get back to check on him, and we never got to go back to the park).

Should I hang onto these, or are they only good for the day they were written? It doesn't say that they expire, it only has a space for the date they were given and the name of the CM/manager and his/her extension number, and boxes to check if it is for an attraction, or merchandise.

I am hopefully going to be able to pull off another trip in December, will they still be honored or should I just pitch them?

Thanks in advance!

I would try to use all except one and save the last one as a souvenir.

I have been fortunate not to have gotten stomach flu. But if I did, then I would want to try fasting (except for plenty of water) to see if that made it possible to get up and around.

I'd hold onto them! If they turn out not to be good, you can probably bring them to guest services and explain the situation, I bet they'd give you good ones in exchange!

Don't pitch them! It doesn't hurt to hold on to them and try to use during a future trip. If a CM asks about the date discrepancy, explain you didn't have a chance to use them during your last trip.

Good luck!

Yep, I would almost guarantee that they will be honored in the future with a brief explanation of your situation.

Oh, definately hold onto them. When you return, I would go to Guest Services and explain the situation and make sure they will honored.

They are good for how long i am not sure. I got 2 of those for Soarin' and used them the following day. I am sure guest services will honor them

This is another case of "depends on the CM". They are "supposed" to only be good that same day. We had 2 no strings we were given for CS meals to help make up for poor food quality and basically being chased out of H&V so they could switch over, we didn't get to use them because honestly after that we weren't real eager for more park food.

I shot GR an email when we got home because I felt like my concerns were just blown off and they weren't taken seriously. CM called me back a few days later and we went over the situation again and we talked about the no strings passes and I said they wouldn't do me much good since I knew they were only good same park/same day (we rarely even go to HS) he said that yes typically that is true but made a note and gave me a case number, told me the next time I was in ANY park to go to GR and give them the number, they would write up a new one for me.

The first one was no big deal. The second one we left for another day, the CM that time acted like she was doing me some big favor by deciding to let me have a new one, she didn't bother to look up the case number just let me know "for future reference they are only good on the date noted and only at the same park". She just overall rubbed me the wrong way.

I'd say in MOST cases you will be fine and they will tell you either to use those or just write you out new ones but just be aware just like most things it can vary.

Thanks, everyone. I guess I will just tuck them away and if we are blessed enough to go again in the near future, I'll stop at guest services at MK and just see what they say. Can't hurt to ask, I guess! It's not like it's a make or break kind of thing, just would be nice to know I have a little Pixie Dust in my hip pocket, if you know what I mean, lol!

I'll tell ya my story about the hand-written fast passes.

I forgot we had received them after some pretty shoddy treatment at All Star Music resort. I'd tucked them away in my park folder. Well, we're at DHS on Friday morning and went past Toy Story. They're at the point where they're running out of fast passes. DH looks and me and says, "Hey, what about that paper fast pass?". We took it to the fast pass entrance and the CM at the door said "Go on in". Less than 10 minutes later, we were on the ride.

Point of this is, we got that fast pass in January and used it in March. And had no problem doing so. YMMV, however.
