No sites available at the Fort

Started calling yesterday and finally had to take a room at the POP. I am on the East Coast of Fl about 88 miles SE of Disney and since I live in my RV Disney is my evacuation destination. I really don't think we would be moved from the Fort this time as I don't think Wilma is going to track that far north, but it would sure be nice to be there just the same.

I guess I'll just keep calling and hope a site opens up. If not I'll just keep the 5r hitched to the truck and park my home in the POP parking lot.

The CM told me that every time she takes a resort cancellation there is a FL Resident waiting to book one.

These darn hurricanes they keep forcing me to go to the MouseHouse.

If you want to stay in your RV check out Tropical Palms. It's not FW but it is very nice and very close to WDW. Its just off 192 very close to I4. It is kind of behind Old Town.

Hey I live in Vero Beach. Had to go down to Pt St Lucie area today (SAT) and noticed lots of RV's headed North and we're like they're probably headed for FT W.
I imagine the campers in the KEYS had to evacuate so thats probably a problem.
Well, seems like RVs hold up good against hurricanes. We had 2 MAJOR storms here last year (and probably getting another one within the next few days) anyway our RV had no damage.

Just heard that FW is being evacuated at 3 pm today. We left yesterday, so we were lucky, I guess.
