I followed your link from the S/D thread. We'll be having a couple breakfasts & lunches there in October. I'm looking forward to all your reviews. Not to be greedy, but I'm hoping for a Picabu review, along with your bluezoo & Fresh reviews.

The Fountain Funnel sounds much better than The Kitchen Sink. TKS is just too much of a good thing for me. I'm with your DH though. Banana Splits are my thing. The make your own sundae sounds good too though. Oh yeah, we may even have a burger too.

Picabu has without a doubt the absolute best pizza! We've been going to the Dolphin for years and always get the pizza. I really don't know what the rest of the food is like, but if you like pizza that's the place!

We've never tried the beer floats but they are on our list to do in January.

Yes, but not at Bluezoo or Shula's.

And there may be others. But I think it's definitely OK at the Fountain, Kimonos, Picabu and Fresh.

I don't know if they apply it to alcoholic beverages either.

Correct. BlueZoo, Shula's, and Il Mulino have not offered discounts anytime I have researched. The ones TDC Nala listed above do, and the Cabana Bar at the Dolphin, which had burgers and eats before the remodel, offered the DVC discount as well (just on food). That was as of July 2007.

We LOVE the Fountain! Great ice cream, and so convenient when staying at the Dolphin. We would just grab an ice cream on our way up to our room when getting back from being at the parks. The bluezoo bar is a great place for a bite and a drink, and the restaurant is just outstanding there. Picabu is a nice place to have too, and Fresh - while a little bit weird in its layout and function - is a pretty good breakfast or lunch. We've stayed at the Dolphin our last few times at WDW, and we've loved it every time!

When we leave the kids at the Dolphin Club while we go to Shula's, the staff always takes them to the Fountain for dinner. They rave about it every time. We'll have to give it a try ourselves after seeing those pics.

It's vacation ... I see no reason for us to deprive ourselves!

And ... we have a recipe for Guinness Ice Cream that we nabbed from Emeril's website a few years back. It's really good, especially with dark chocolate sauce!

I don't know what Cabana was like before the remodel, but I went there a few months ago and really enjoyed it!
Splash Grill over at the Swan offers DVC/AAA discount as well and is another place I'd readily go for a return visit.
