No school tomorrow!!!!

We started school on August 10th and had Labor Day off but since the Tropical Storm is blowing through Ga now they have cancelled school for tomorrow. The wind and rain has been really bad today. I dont know how the folks in Fla do it.

School starts August 10??? When does it let out in the Spring? There were years when I was in school that school didn't start till after Labor Day

School started here on Aug 5th. I'm in SE GA.

Our school started Aug 2. We are out tomorrow too. Frances is still blowing through but the wind doesn't seem as bad right now. We have lots of little sticks and small branches down but so far nothing big. I'm tired of being housebound and loosing power. Thank goodness it wasn't as bad as it could have been!

we are suppossed to start the 8th (Wed) but the paper said the 9th and the school bus drivers were told to report the 13th (Mon)
at this rate we won't get out till June 30th and we won't have any spring break or any other long weekends

My kids first day is Sept 8th...still a day away....

Kids started Aug 10th, lost one day to Hurricane Charlie,

Now lost Friday and tomorrow, Tuesday, to Hurricane Frances.

Kids are just loving it totally, but I keep telling them they will have to make up those days.

DD is out of school tomorrow thanks to Frances. Between Charley and Frances, she will have missed 8 days. It's not going to be fun making them up.

I dont know yet if we have to make this day up or not. I think the county has a day built in for this type of stuff. I know we have missed a day in the winter before and never had to make it up so we will see!!!

Snuggles we didnt have much damage either. Lots of little limbs down and some stuff blown over but as far as I can tell by looking out the windows we came out fine. I am getting a little stir crazy though!

School gets out in mid May to those of us that start in early august.

My kids have missed a total of 12 days. 11 for Charley and one for Frances. Now Ivan is around the corner so we will wait and see!
