I'd read on here that several people had saved money on their Disney vacations by booking thru magical vacations. I recently went on their website, and filled out all information regarding our trip including resort choice, and dates. Now, keep in mind if also been on Disney's website as well and have. Package saved on there too. Both places have the exact same information. I was shocked when magical vacations emailed me back their quote, and it was actually HIGHER than Disney world website.
Higher by almost $1,000. We're staying GF club level, theme park view room. Does that make a difference? What's the deal with this? I heard such positive things and heard people claiming they saved hundreds of dollars, sometimes a thousand or two on their trip. This would be huge, being as its close to $9,000

Magical vacations has certain blocks of rooms, at certain resorts, for certain dates. Not all resorts at all times.
So if you get in under one of their advertised specials they are a fabulous savings but not all times. They book their advertised special at a group rate but it does not apply at all times.

If your quote is for more than what is on WDW website, there is a mistake somewhere. They don't charge more than than booking through WDW and oftentimes you can get a better rate with one of their promotions.

You might just email the agent back and let him/her know your calculations came out differently. It could have been a mistake in the number of adults, or number of days that was put into the trip, accidentally included the dining plan in the quote or something like that.

And when they emailed the quote the savings was minimal so I'll wait for Disney to release something better hopefully. I know they could offer better discounts in August.

I do think there was some missing information for the TA. The TA's not only have the same but more info than the general public when booking disney vacations. The TA must have missed a promo that your quote from wdw included. Just let the TA know and I am sure it will be fixed. That is a big booking for a TA so I am sure they will be quick to figure out the discrepancy ;)

I just got a quote from them today and they were 30% off the room only rate that I could get direct with WDW. The drawback for me was that I cannot purchase the dining plan if I book with Magical Vacation.

The Beach Club rate I got with them for end of August was 52% off rack rate. For me that was more than enough to give up the DDP. We can easily set aside the money we would have spent on the DDP and eat well and still come in under what we would have paid for it. Run the numbers and you might be surprised.:)

For the late August deal I saved over 50% on rack rate at the GF. But when my friend ran the numbers for the early August deal at the Poly, she found she could do better elsewhere. It definitely pays to be flexible with your dates and go when the bigger discounts are.

We're going late fall -- does that anything to go with it?? Piddobly those deals are not available yet?
So, is it wise to not book yet? And wait for fall deals to? When will those be available?
We really wanted to book soon, so it was done....piece of mind ya know?

It appears that you have very specific requirements for your vacation (dates, resort, room location). That usually works against you when you're trying to get the best deals. The more flexible you are, the better the deals will be.

But if you're adamant about your dates, staying at the GF, Club Level, theme park views, etc., then you should probably book through Disney and hope that perhaps a discount comes out later for your dates. If you book through Disney, you can always make changes or even cancel if you find a better deal elsewhere.

We are in the middle of booking our trip for five nights before Labor Day and the discount at BC is just under 50%. There's no way we will spend the entire savings in food OOP, so ill gladly pass up rack rates plus free dining. If you can be flexible with your dates, my understanding is that there are discounts at GF for the time near Labor Day. I would email with the TA if you are flexible.

Magical Vacations has AMAZING rates for the YC/BC around Labor Day. We booked the YC for $190 a night!

Most of their specials can have the dining plan added. Some do not, but those are generally the ones with the highest discounts on the rooms.

We are only a party of 3, so I am saving $200 per night on room, and dining plan would cost $166. My issue is we do alot of character meals for dinner, so paying out of pocket for meals may end up costing me more than the $200 per day....decisions decisions.

Does this place ever have any deep discounts for moderate resorts? We are going to Disneyland this year, but going back to WDW in 2014. I have never heard of them before, but it sounds like they have some really great prices. I googled it and came up with a few different vacation sites with a similar name. Would someone PM which one it is?

It's Magical Vacations Travel .com. They're discussed extensively on the Resorts board and the Codes and Rates subforum. The biggest discounts are at the deluxe resorts but I do see that they have POR and POFQ deals listed for April, so they do feature the moderates sometimes.

Anyone having issues with their website? I've tried to submit a quote but it keeps saying invalid input under the little captcha, I've tried ten times but it never seems to go through. Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you! We were looking at renting DVC points again or staying at POFQ! I will have to check them out!!!!

Used Magical Vacations 3 years ago. Saved a lot of $. The TA was great.
We booked room only, even though we could have gotten a free meal plan. We just couldn't eat all that. When all was said and done we saved a really good amount.
I am glad they are still around and getting good reviews. I just booked my room only res for Jan 2014. Does anyone know how far out Magical Vacations post their specials? Looks like only summer 2013 is up now.

I see the Easter deal includes All Star Sports. Has anyone ever requested a quote from them regarding a value resort? Wondered how much of a discount they could offer.
