I bougbt some of the Heinz no salt added ketchup the other day. Thought, oh well that's nice, it's more healthy. But it's really gross! Doesn't taste like ketchup to me and it's too sweet. I don't know what I was thinking. I eat ketchup so rarely that the small amount of salt that's in it doesn't really matter.

I picked up a bottle of that by mistake at the store one day. Took it home, we were having fries and I still hadn't realized my mistake. No one at our house would eat it. It's just.....YUCK!!!!!!

I'm a salt-o-holic so this idea just makes my tummy turn, yuck! The more salt and ketchup the better, yum!

Eewww, I bet it tastes like tomato paste :scared:

It's really nasty. When my kidney disease was really bad, I had to use no salt added ketchup. Ugh! Thank goodness I can have regular ketchup now! :)

It is nasty. I bought it for a friend who needs a low-sodium diet. He won't even eat it. Now I mix it 50/50 with brown sugar and use it as a barbeque sauce for pork chops. At least it's not going to waste.

I just finished two weeks of a low-iodine diet. I was so happy to find unsalted Heinz ketchup, until I tasted it! Even adding my own non-iodized salt didn't help. It is sour, strange, just not ketchupy. It was the first thing to hit the trash when I was cleared for regular food, and I hate to waste anything!

They tried to pawn that off on my in the hospital once. ICK!!! Of course, they had given me a salt packet, so what was the point.

There are just certain things where the tradeoff is worth it. I may die 20 minutes earlier from all that full-salt ketchup I ate, but I can deal with that. It's better than living my whole life deprived and miserable.
