The RV show is coming in a few weeks and for the first time in years, we won't be going. The tickets have gone up to $10/person this year. Last year they were six and all the prior years they had been five. The show gets smaller every year, too, thanks I guess to the recession. We didn't even spend four hours there last year.

$10 is just too much for me to stomach, I guess. That's a big increase over a year ago and, since we're not in the market for a camper this year, it's too much to pay for recreational looking. Good job, AGI Events. You priced yourself right out of this campers budget!

Charging admission for what is basically a large *Sales* floor seems counter-intuitive. I know its done, just seems strange. Why put up a barrier to entry, when numbers drive sales?

Our's is next weekend. Not only did the last one suck but this year they're moving it from right next to the Jaguars Stadium across town to the equestrian center. It's not a bad drive out there but I don't think we'll pay the extra money to drive over and see the same ol stuff.

It seems to be what they are teaching in business school today.

Raleigh's show is next week. We went to the Greensboro show in January and it wasn't bad. Do a google search of your show and quite often, you can buy tickets ahead of time at a discount.

Raleigh's show is $10 but if you get them online, they're $7. To us, it's sort of like the state fair. Yes, it's not the wisest use of my money but since it only comes once a year, we'll do it.

But I must admit, if it's worse than last year's, we may start passing it up. Last year's was the worst we've ever been to. But at least this year, we're actually shopping to buy a new TT. Imagine that. :cool1:

Exactly. I guess the answer is "because people will pay it" :sad2:

The Boston show charged $12 per person AND $12 to park!

Springfield MA show was a bit cheaper $5 to park $9 to get in.

I had no problem using my little $2 internet coupons. Srsly... $36 for 2 people to walk around and pick up an occasional brochure?? :scared:

I went to Charlottes yesterday, $ 10.00 to get in $5.00 to park. It was OK and a pretty good crowd, lots of nice stuff. Just reminded me of a dog chasing a car, what am I gonna do when I get there. I'm a dreamer not a buyer. My 06 Daybreak will have to last a while.
Each dealer had their RV's blocked in so you had to walk through a gauntlet of salespeople just to get in to their sections.
Lots of RV parks boothes, Myrtle Beach and lake Norman, only one real supply boothe, $80.00 special on the $100.00 awning lights. I got my Mickey ones on Ebay a lot cheaper.
They had a million $ MH, 3 people outside making sure you couldn't get close to it.
It was OK, like I said, I'm a dreamer not a buyer.

So, inquiring minds want to know, what sort of TT are you considering?

Since we enjoyed our Puma so much, we're looking at them again plus Puma's nicer cousin, the Sabre. Here's the floorplan we're wanting.

The Keystone Outback has a similar floorplan but we're sort of partial to Palomino RVs. Plus I think the Sabre is a little nicer.

Most of those folks will be in Raleigh next weekend. Sounds similar to last year, though.
