I am sure this happens but I guess I have never seen it. I saw they released the concerts for Food and Wine and every year I go see Hanson, who perform late October. This year they are October 17-20. I went on to look at hotels and there is absolutely no availability at any resort during the 12th to 19th. It says "this resort is unavailable for the dates, party size, or offer selected" for EVERY hotel. I tried the chat but they said they are unable to check availability. It seems so strange that every resort would be completely booked? I'm an annual passholder, so didn't check without that option "clicked", but could it really be completely booked?

never mind! I just looked at there is a passholder black out during that time. sorry! should have checked that first! I didn't think to check that there might be dates that the discount didn't work for Fall

Well it is Food & Wine, so I can see it being full by now. You can still probably get a cash room somewhere.

You might look without the AP checked. Lots of rooms are available.

but just that one week? seems so strange. there's availability before and after those dates. just have never seen it and wondering if it was really possible!

Hmmm... I'm seeing results for several including Pop, All Stars, Caribbean Beach, Coronado, Port Orleans, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani. Maybe just have to clear your browser and go back? I'm an AP and am logged into my account when searching this (editing to add - I did not see any AP rates available). I do know the annual Gartner IT conference is around that time and typically fills up a lot of rooms.

We are looking to go 10/9-10/13 and the only thing showing available for me is the presidential suite at grand destino for $2k+ a night. Very strange nothing else is available. We are looking for room only which I assume they hold back rooms for those looking for a package.

I see quite a few openings for those dates including AP rates. I think the "trick" is that you click the hotel name... ironically not where it says offer/rate details.

Ah, I didn't realize you were a party of 6 ... that limits results significantly unfortunately. I only get Coronado as an option for party of 6 as well. Maybe consider DVC rental? Good luck! Hope you find something!!

I'm trying that now, but still no luck. dang it!

With 4 adults and 2 children on the reservation, could you break that out into two rooms? That would give you more options and at lower price points.
We were hoping to get the cabins at the fort as we've done that trip every year since my daughter was born (minus some hurricane closures) but since it turned into DVC much harder to get a reservation now. We will probably look to book points. I was just surprised there wasn't much available for our party size. Will also look into breaking the reservation out for two rooms in case we still want to go if we can't get the fort.
