I will try to explain this quickly and maybe someone out there is an expert and can tell what it's all about.

We want to stay at the Fort Wildreness Cabins on 11/23 and 11/24. There are plenty of rooms available on the DIsney website for the 24th, but nothing available on the 23rd. Although if you go to the AAA website, you can book a room for the 23rd no problem.

So...is there rooms or not? We are local and this can be a last minute decision for us to go or not, will they release these rooms if AAA doesn't sell them...or am I totally missing something?

Thanks!

Quickest way to solve this problem is to call immediately.

Many times a resort will be sold out on the website but available when you call. Happens to me with quickie trips all the time. Perhaps the website just doesn't get updated fast enough. Good luck.

I did call, and they said there were no rooms available on the 23rd, although I didn't ASK for AAA rooms because I'm not a member anymore...not sure if this matters.

Rooms are released to certain agencies such as AAA, Expedia, etc. So yes there are times that Disney will show nothing available and these agencies will have rooms.

As to whether they revert back to Disney if not sold by a certain time, that I don't know.

Oh well. I suppose you could make two reservations - one with Disney and one with AAA or just keep calling and calling. I've been known to do that when I want AP rates here for DLR.

Are you just using the AAA website? I have found a few occassions that when I actually tried to book the room that they showed it wasn't really available.
