No ressies at Emerils for Sat.

ok, I know I waited way too long to reserve a table at Emerils for next Sat. Boo hoo.
I did get a ressie for "the food bar thingie" on Monday nite. Has anyone ever sat at this "side by side seating while watching the chefs preparing the food"? Could be fun.
Any input appreciated.
What restaurant or bar would you regulars reccomend as an apertif for the B52s concert. Ya know it has to be festive!!!!
