No Resort Availability

Your actual experience in combining multiple reservations into a single reservation will vary based on the specific skills of the CM assisting you.

The primary issue is how the system works. It expects to make a new reservation / modification for the entire period but there must be open availability in addition to your existing reservation(s).

You want to have your rooms booked in the same category and and ask to be transferred to a Guest Services (GS) CM as they have the ability to handle re-booking situations when a general reservation CM may be unable to make the change.

Note: you don't have to combine multiple reservations just follow the post from @CarolynFH :

The CM will update your multiple reservations by linking the other confirmation number in each separate reservation. You also should stop by the front desk to verify your reservations indicate that they are linked (noted) on your reservations.

Special note: if you use this method each reservation will still have it's own start date for the 60 day ADR scheduling window and Park Reservation window. If you have multiple package reservations you can just purchase your tickets with the first portion of your stay or the second part based on your park day scheduling.

Thank you. That was very helpful

Will they let you do this as long it is same room type?

I called yesterday and spoke with someone from Guest Services to combine 4 consecutive reservations that we had for the beginning of our trip ( 2 one night, a two night, and a 3 night reservation). They were able to combine them into one reservation, keeping one of my original reservation numbers. They cancelled the 3 other reservations and credited back the deposits I had paid for each of them. I had the option of leaving the deposits and applying them toward our stay, but I asked to have them refunded since we're not leaving until the end of October and hope to use DGCs to pay for most of the stay. Now I'm just hoping for availability to open up for the last 4 nights of our trip.

I also want to thank @Dave006 for his post! I was ready with my request to speak to a Guest Services CM after the reservations CM told me it was impossible to link my two back-to-back reservations of the same room category and same reservation code. Love the great info I can find on the boards when I stumble into a “new to me” situation.
