no problems today making ADR's

I just got off the phone making our 8 nights of dining reservations and for the first time in years we GOT EVERYTHING we wanted.

Now granted the only character meal we wanted was CP- but got that. And for the first time in 10 years we are eating at Le Cellier. All our others were regulars like Teppan Edo, Tutto Sci fi but all the times we wanted. And we were done in 30 minutes.

I was a touch rude and cut off the cm as they started in on the "policies" after my first one and replied "I know the drill can we do that at the end I've got dining to book!" And she was fantastic.- zipping through- gave me all my confirmation numbers at the end. Told me no tank tops like that would happen and we were done.

So thank you for all the advice pictures and help. We are BOOKED!

I previously made ADRs at the 180 day mark (or 360!). And after reading the threads here, I get the feeling that there is a knack to getting your requests made right at 7AM. So, can you help some os uf newbies out with what to expect? should we request certain dinners first (Chef Mickey?)? Based upon your post what is the "spiel" they give and do we need to go thru all of it? Can we get all the confirmation numbers at the end?

I started calling at 6:58AM and as soon as you hear "our offices" hang up and redial that's the start of the Our offices are now closed.

Yes when you start- have your list of the tough ones first- Like Chef Mickey's or any character meal- then go through booking your list as the most important to you.

Now try to go through as quickly as possible as your reservations are not BOOKED until the very end. (which freaked me out- I guess the hold they put is ok? until the end)
But after they say I have 6:10pm available- say Great book it. Then they will start the spiel about the arriving early give yourself enough time ect. Interupt and say "I know all the requirements I have a bunch to book can you just tell me at the very end of the conversation?" And then move on to your next one. Ask for the confirmation numbers after they are all booked as well.

Good luck and be polite and they will help you.

Java~ I had no problem getting all of mine as well.

jbm02~ I just did mine in order of days and got the conf. # after each ressie. So glad I did that!! Yesterday the CM's computer crashed after just a couple ADR's... since I already have the conf. # it wasn't a problem. And this morning... the computer crashed with a different CM too.

I called at 6:58, closed, 7am got the 35 minute wait, and could NOT get PS that we wanted at all. And I did not ask for any character meals.

TIP! IF you want ANY shot at Sci Fi, ask first. I asked for Le Cellier first, got a late 7:30 pm dinner, but Sci Fi completely booked, lunch and dinner for our entire trip, June 28-July 3. Wish I asked for Sci Fi first, in a way. She said keep calling back, but it take so LONG to call.

Yippeee... after being on hold for 61 minutes I got through and I got everything I wanted. I even got a Fantasmic package and I booked that last (not thinking-- I should have booked that 1st). Thanks for all the Pixie Dust as it worked... Still a long time to hold though..

Tuesday 6/30-Beach Club Breakfast Buffet @ Cape May Cafe-9AM
and
Royal Princess Dining at Akershus (Epcot)--5:15PM

Wednesday 7/1- Dreams Come True at Cinderella's Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)--5:40PM

Thursday 7/2- Le Cellier Steakhouse (Epcot)--4:30PM

We got everything that we wanted except Sci-Fi or the Fantasmic Package and the times work for us, overall not a bad experience at all. I called right at 7am, got transferred to the wrong queue but got into the right queue and was talking to a rep by 7:12AM.

I could also not get a Fantasmic package on my 90 day last Monday (23rd). I said I would take any F! package any day of the 9 we were going to be there and the CM couldn't find ANYTHING. I called back on the 90 day from when I wanted it (27th) and got H&V + F! We had wanted Mama Melrose but I'm fine with just getting one, also much earlier than we would have liked, (3:20) but again, just happy to have it, so we'll work around the early dinner. If tomorrow is your exact 90 day try again at 7. Also, I started dialing at 6:59:25 both days that I called last week and waited 4 minutes and 6 minutes. Yes I am a freak with a stopwatch, but it worked for me.

Just to add, I called back this afternoon, wanting to tweak my PS, because of the no Sci Fi PS. Well, by magic, now I HAVE a PS at Sci Fi, July 1, at 12:30pm for lunch. It was very odd. The CM seemed a little confused, and said the new system is harder to navigate. To be honest, I HAVE the PS, but I am nervous because how could it suddenly pop up? I may double check it, wish I could do so online! Maybe DVC could look at it to make sure it went in for the right date.

I also booked at T Rex for our arrival day, last week the CM told me it was walk up only, today I was told that was wrong, they take PS (but you have to call T Rex direct)

What's going on with Sci-Fi? We've eaten there in the past, it's fine I guess. Was thinking of doing it again as I have my niece with me this time and she's never eaten there.

Is it because all the other dining options at DHS are so awful? I can't think of any other reason.

And on the sci fi I am suspecting they are trying to alleviate the loooooong wait times there and are booking fewer ADR's. But that's just my guess and my hope.
