So, I booked a summer 2016 sailing a year ago. The price today is the same as it was when I booked it a year ago. Isn't this unusual?

It's a Western cruise on the Fantasy in July. The prices were/are super high, so I thought I was doing "well" to book it last March. But, now, I see that I gained nothing. I wonder if this means that they may offer a Florida resident discount on this cruise - that would be great (as we're residents).....

I hope they do. Our Western over Spring break has risen $2,000.

So how does it work if you are past your PIF date and then they offer a FLR rate? Can you change your room and get money back?

They were priced really high. Lots of interline rates are being offered on european cruise. I could never figure out how they thought the cruise would sell out at those prices.

When I look up the July 9th & 23rd Fantasy cruises, I see price increases in some of the categories. Not all, but some.

Interesting..........when I called Disney today, the CM I spoke with said that she was shocked that the prices hadn't gone up. But, I'm guessing she was just pricing my room, which is what I was doing. Which categories did you notice had a price increase?

I just got off the Wonder on Wednesday. Usually the future cruise booking desk has a line. Not this time. I went by twice and there was nobody booking, even on the last night. I think the prices have finally made a difference. I did book placeholders, but not planning anything soon, I think we are now going to have to skip a year.

Which cruise date are you asking about? On the Jul 9th cruise all categories except Concierge 1 bedroom and Royal suites; and category 6B. On the Jul 23rd cruse - all categories except Concierge Royal suite; 4A & 4B; 5A; 8A & 8D.

The July 9th cruise. We have a 4C room, and the price didn't increase. Unless, it just went up today after I called...........

Depending on when you made your reservation it's either increased a dropped a little, here's the history for that category/cruise (price history in lower right):

The original price for that room was $3,003 (3/26/15); increased to $3,124 (2/14/16); and dropped a few dollars to $3,120 (2/29/16).

I noticed this on our last few cruises. They only had one person working and there was never anybody waiting to book.

Ive noticed sometimes the price goes up for the first 2 cruisers, but stays the same or drops for the 3rd and 4th passenger. I always book for 4 and I look at cruisefish and see a big price increase, but when I price it out for four its not much of a change.

When I look at the pricing, the current price is actually about $55 less than what I paid a year ago.

Yes, they have allowed this in the past. It's a great benefit for Florida residents.

I am not suprised. I am sailing this Oct (booked last summer) as a party of 6 in 2 connecting rooms. Yesterday I was looking at booking for late May 2017 and the cost was the same as 2016, but we will be one room instead of two and one less person. That is nuts. I didn't book it.
