I cannot believe there are no plans for a nightime parade at MK!!! after YEARS of the electical parade.. then the (my favorite) Spectromagic (which they destroed at disneyland) then they brought back the electrical light parade. and poof!!! it's gone!!
if they are gong to continue to charge more for a MK ticket they had better bring in SOME sort of night time light up parade!!!

Current rumors suggest that maybe Paint the Night will be heading east. But who knows at the moment. I'd expect to hear an announcement at this weeks media event if it is to happen this Summer.

The rumor is that paint the night electrical parade is coming from DL.
Current rumor is that PTN might be heading across the esplanade to DCA.

There have been plenty of rumors. I wouldn't get too excited about any of them until something is officially announced.

- It hasn't hurt them so far.
- HEA is quite the show.
- HEA crowds and filling of hub and Main St for it would make a parade difficult.
- Why spend the money when it hasn't impacted?
- PTN is pure rumor I wouldn't get caught up in it.

I miss a night parade too, and sure hope it comes back. If I were a gambling man, I'd guess that at some point in the next few years, some sort of night parade will return. But until it does, plenty of other things at night in MK to do.

I much prefer a parade to castle projections and even fireworks but I'm trying to stay open-minded about the new fireworks show. As a parade lover it's hard to see how Disney has dropped so many parades over the years.

If nothing else happens I would bet on a new one for the 50th.

Why not both?! Happily Ever After is truly stunning, blows Wishes out of the water! Definitely worth a watch. Disney has only ever dropped two nighttime parades from WDW - MSEP and Spectro. Obviously MSEP is still going at DLR, while Spectro was left to rot. PTN seems a fitting replacement for MSEP, but I think a brand new one for 50th anniversary will be even better!

Wishes was fireworks not a parade... Losing MSEP was a blow though.

I'm including the DHS parades and of course the Epcot and AK parades in my muttering even though they were in the daytime. I simply love parades! I'll keep everything crossed that PTN does show up.

Whoops, didn't mean Wishes! Just changed that in my post. This is what happens when you have 101 things on your mind! lol.

Losing MSEP was disappointing, but it long outlived its time at WDW, for a parade that was supposed be limited time and stay at WDW for less than a year. MSEP is also quite dated, the floats kept breaking, bulbs blowing etc. When I went on a KTTK tour last year, we visited the MSEP storage area and they were working on the floats and checking every bulb every day. PTN doesn't have that problem as its all LED's.

I agree, Disney parades are awesome, both daytime and nighttime. I found a video of Jammin' Jungle the other day and that brought back so many memories of my first WDW trip!

All big losses.

But PTN has other issues that could be even worse in FL heat. I think it could run here but with major modifications. AND they have to figure out how to run a night parade with the cluster/seas of humanity that is now in MK for HEA.

Always thought Jammin' Jungle was cute and creative ........ and even loved it more when we got to ride in it just before it ended! :D

I think the HEA crowds is probably the biggest issue at the moment, they seem to be crazy! (understandably though, it is an awesome show!)

I'd love to see Jammin' Jungle return in some form, it was a nice little parade. Do you know if it still exists?

I don't know if it exists but I have hope it's under cover somewhere. It was so creative!

HEA is a sea of humanity and I don't see that changing. The difference is that the projections and castle front are part of the show, unlike Wishes where you could watch from other places (we had a few favorite spots) if you didn't mind the castle silhouette not being there. That's not going to change so the crowds are likely to keep filling in the hub and Main Street hours ahead. We went last week and it was insane. Folks were not staying in the taped lines and blatantly refusing to move when asked. CMs gave up and had minimal control. So hours before it was full and it took quite some time to even move when it was over.
