We were wait listed for 7 months for The Beach Club 2 bedroom for 3 days. It never came through. We have been members since 1998 and this was my firist wait list. We love the Boardwalk but wanted my DGS age 5 to swim in SAB. One of the selling points of BWV was use of SAB and then it was taken away. Only 5 days to go!

Have you tried calling? Maybe by some chance a villa will open up for you!:wizard:

The first waitlist was cancelled 30 days out. Then you could have started a second waitlist until 7 days out. Then you just need to call everyday or look online to see if it shows up. Or book somewhere else.

I know SAB is a great pool, and I was super excited to bring my 6 and 4 year old to it! Until.....we got there!!! The pool is enormous trying to chase kids, the water slide is "across the street" and they were swept away in the lazy river. We actually walked over to the Boardwalk pool and the kids loved the slide there!!!

I know this is stuff you probably already know, but perhaps would make you feel better if your wait list doesn't come through......

I found SAB to stand for Stressful And Big!!

I agree. It is great for older kids who don't need constant supervision, however, when we were there a few years ago it was just too big for our grandchildren who were 7, 4 & 1 at the time. We love the BWVs!

He'll have just as much fun sliding out of the clown's mouth. :thumbsup2

I've been on the waitlist for a 2 bedroom at BCV for nearly 4 months!! I too, want to stay there for SAB because my grandson is just obsessed with it. Honestly I'm starting to see that SAB is way too big to supervise small children. My grandkids will be 10, 8 and 5 when we go and that worries me. They will go in all directions. The older 3 will be 18, 16 and 12 so they should be more than fine on their own.

Good luck and you will love where ever you end up staying!!

If you really want to stay at the BC, I would call everyday, 3 times a day to see if you can get in. People always cancel at the last minute and I was once able to switch resorts in the middle of a 9 day vacation from SSR to VWL in December before I owned there. Good Luck!!

Thanks everyone . . . I was double waitlisted ultil 6 days out!!! I checked on line for the last 2 months twice a day . . . and also called about 3 times a week. I haven't given up hope yet but do love my Boardwalk view.

We were able to secure a reservation last summer and decided after staying there SAB wasn't all that great. The configuration of the 2 bedroom villa for 4 adults and 4 kids was very weird. We are back at AKV - Kidani and won't miss SAB at all. Plus we save so many points by staying at AKV!!
