No Pixie dust at Epcot yesterday

Call me crazy but I DO think it a bit mean to try to trick strangers into tasting something as vile as Beverly. Do it to friends or relative, no problem. BUt something about tricking strangers just seems wrong.

As for the gate attendant...pixie crust indeed!

You should have asked Ms Rude why SHE wasn't at Universal then...after all...SHE was being rude!

The last time I was at Ice Station Cool I decided to prank a stranger. It was my first time to do so. A pre-teen boy walked up as I was standing there and I offered the advice to try the Beverly.

The joke was on me: he liked it.

Maybe it was just karma bitting in me in the booty - but I think that trying to get people to drink the Beverly is just harmless fun. I may not try it again though... :rolleyes1

But isn't Disney tricking us by even offering the Beverly? Unsuspecting people try it everyday. Such a beautiful name (kidding of course because it is also my name) for such a nasty drink. My husband thinks it tastes OK but he's always been a little off his rocker. ;)

Phamton, we've actually done that too ... it's seriously funny to watch their face when they actually do taste it!! Most people just laugh and acknowledge the joke. Some people just have no sense of ha ha!! :sad2:

I haven't tried it, but from descriptions I am almost certain that DH will like it if he can try it.

I have follow up question to the Beverly drink. Has anyone visited Italy? Is this drink actually popular there?

I was wondering this as well.
I've been several times and NEVER seen it, but I was not specifically looking for it.

I did a quick google search and it seems that it is not all that popular even in Italy.

The Chinese Apple Soda is for sale at the market down the street from me.. but it is $2.50 cents for a half can.. (5 oz?)....

The parking story is unbelievable. It's so symptomatic of what is wrong with Disney these days. It would have been so easy for her to say, "Yes, I see you have two passes and two cars. Have a wonderful day in Epcot." Instead, the drivers of both cars got gratuitous lectures -- and for what purpose?

At Universal and the on-site hotels (where we stayed last month), we found the attitude was always, "How can we help?" "Yes, we can do that for you." "We don't usually do that, but we can certainly accommodate you request." "It's not a problem." Etc., etc., etc.

At Disney, the attitude these days is always, "No, we can't do that." "Sorry, that is against the rules." "You -- you aren't complying with the requirements." And, on and on and on -- ad nauseum.

Sorry, folks, but when I spend my hard-earned money on a vacation, I want to encounter happy employees who want to accommodate me if at all possible and make my stay pleasant. I get that less and less at Disney these days.

And, as for Beverly -- I must have dh try it next time we're there. He loves espresso -- the darker and more bitter, the better. So, I have a hunch he will love Beverly.

What....??? It's rude to fake out like that drink taste good? Umm, I have 5 children and I've done it to them all....not sure we've done it to a stranger but all the years we've been there...probably LOL

Well I have done it to a stranger, so I guess I am a bad, bad girl. :lmao:

It was an adult and he and I laughed about it afterwards.

I'm curious about something. If you just hand the card to the parking attendant how does she know it's not you? Do they ask to see ID or something?

To me, it sounds like the parking attendant and the lady at Ice Station Cool both belonged at Universal. ;)

They don't ask for ID so my other son, who was in the car with me, could have used the card. But my son in the first car just wanted to be honest. I guess they can ask for ID but they never have at parking. They do ask for ID when you enter the park with the hospitality ID though. But we weren't going to use it to enter the park as we already had our tickets.
