My friend LittleMissGirl was in one of the host rooms (Host_Phinny I believe)
and noticed the epcot turnstile, so she said, "Hey Fin, how come you won't let us do pay to play rooms and you can??" Well she claims Fin got mad at her and started telling her all this stuff about how "Staff were licensed to be able to do things normal players cannot do" and etc. :lmao: Don't think that's EXACTLY what she said, but still funny when you think about it.
I think I'll make a comic of it.... hehehehe...

Haha, if you think about it, what do they do with all the credits that they earn? Let it sit in a virtual bank? Its not like the credits just come out of nowhere :rotfl2: i would think they do lol. But yeah the whole paying to do host rooms definitely doesn't seem fair if we can't! TURN OVER THE TURNSTILES OR WE ARE GONNA GET MAD! Juuust kidding. :dance3:

P.S. Why is Phinny the only one who gets mad about that stuff?

lol I was waiting for a pay to play host room to make a comment. someone beat me to it. lol I am still going to commet though.
I can understand the reason they are doing it to the players because of the scammers, but I had a room set up with all the prizes in the room and the winner got to choose their prize. And the reason I took pay was to use as more prizes. (I could not take clothes or pins because I could not display them in the room otherwise I took whatever they gave) Everyone seemed to have fun being able to choose their prize.
Now my game has changed, I put in three number generators and to win you have to spin the same number in all three spinners. Then I will give a prize, they are no longer displayed as choices. Someone said no one will ever win and I replied, well thank VMK if I can't take pay to have more prizes then you have to work to win.

If I were Phinny, I'd be annoyed, too. Sorry, but true.

The way I see it, Hosts have the turnstiles because when they charge,
at least there is a chance that someone WILL win a prize. When guests
have pay to play, often there is a cheat involved (with a friend or a mule)
so that NOBODY really gets a prize.

So in order to keep things safer in guest rooms, VMK banned pay to play.
Hosts have run their pay rooms fairly. That's the difference.

Sheesh, every time I see these posts, I think people are just looking to
start trouble.

which is like I said I do understand why they did it, but to us honest ones it is unfair. but also there was a vmk rule that said if you promise a prize and you don't give it then you can be banned, so what happened to this??? why could they not say the prizes have to be displayed in room, before just closing it all together?? and what about the rule of no more baby and boy girl rooms??? I still see this going strong.
I have to be honest I have a trade room and I am sick of people coming in there begging for free. now I give free when I feel like giving, but I will NOT give to someone begging for free, and that is against vmk values but I don't see anything happening with that. So now that no one has to pay to play unless you are rich then your games will have to shut down. There is only so much free I can afford. lol. now the beggers will be out in full force lol.

lol and if you are sick of these kind of post why do you open it and read it??
and I am Miss Trouble to everyone lol

So let her get mad. It's "against vmk values" and she was caught doing it.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I guess we aren't getting those paying turnstiles are we? :rolleyes1 Yavn brought them in so we could have them. I remember Fin hinting once that when they would be released, they would be expensive.

I thought you couldn't make players pay anymore. I just went to a cute and boot room, and the girl told one of the players pay or boot??? I don't get it, I thought this was no longer allowed?? If I have misunderstood this new rule, could someone please set me straight?

You have not. Sadly, as with the real world, just because there is a rule doesn't mean everyone cares.

Well VMK cant make up their minds on this one.. on the Newsletter page under Scam Alert! 6/22
"Pay to Play = Ban from VMK.
6/22 – Starting on Monday, 6.25.07, Operating Pay to Play Rooms (charging Players for entry to a room or a game) will get you banned from VMK. Previous rules on scamming have NOT changed: ANY Player Scam, will result in an automatic and PERMANENT ban. (Exchage items in a fair trade, and remember, do not loan your items.)...."

So I guess they can still ask for pay untill monday 6.25.07, but other post such as 6/22 Yavn Speaks "Pay to Play, not OK
You spoke and we listened. Based on your feedback VMK will no longer allow players to charge each other to play games, enter rooms or anything else. From now on the moderation team will be issuing bans for any players charging other players to get into a room or play a game.
Just to be clear this is related to player activities, VMK will still be charging game credits to play Pirates and ride the Fantasyland Dark Rides. Additionally, we will not be releasing the Turnstiles that were tested several months ago."

So I think they should be having someone proof all of the copy coming out so that it is all worded to mean the same thing!
