There was a thread earlier about doing a no park DVC trip. Which resort would be best for such a venture? Each has it's positives. BWV has the boardwalk activities, BC has the SAB access, AKV has the savannah, OKW has the laidback Key west feel, SSR has the spa and proximity to golf and DTD and VWL is just a beautiful place and love the feel of it. What do you think?

That's a tough one, but I'd probably stay at either BWV/BCV or SSR.

At BCV/BWV:
* You have the BW. Lots to do and good places for dinner.
* Both pools are great.
* Can watch the fireworks from Epcot.
* Can walk to putt-putt.

At SSR:
* Walking distance to DTD.
* Makes getting to and from places using Dis transportation easier, because you catch a bus to any resort at DTD or get to any park at SSR.
* If you have a car, you're really close to off-site grocery stores, restaurants, outlet malls and a Baskin Robbins!!! ;)
* SSR has a spa and a GREAT workout facility.

Best of luck deciding! We've gotten to the point where we only do 1 or 2 park days when we visit and it really is a great, relaxing time.

The last time we took a "no parks" trip, we stayed at OKW. It's one of the
few resorts that actually makes us feel like we're in Florida! We "resort-hopped"
using a rental car and had an absolute BLAST. The next time we used Disney
Transportation. It took longer to get places but it was still fun. We had a
cocktail at every resort and then had a wonderful dinner at Boma to cap it all
off. Um, we didn't have a cocktail at EVERY resort. They would have had to
pour me back into the bus for the trip "home"! :upsidedow

I'd vote for AKV. Last time I stayed there, I kept thinking how it was perfect for a "no parks" trip. There's so much to see and do right there at the resort, I felt guilty going to the parks. As I've often said, AKV truly is a "destination resort".

VB silly.

"No park vacations" for me, dh and dd10 are ALWAYS at OKW. We seem to spend every April vacation there and love the laid back relaxed feeling. The pool is perfect for Britt and allows us to see her no matter where she is. She loves doing the activities at HH and our whole week is usually based on that schedule. Its also nice to have your car in front of the door for those nights at Olive Garden and Red Lobster. ;)

I would pick VWL! Finally, I would make the time to go around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon with the little boats. Bike ride over and enjoy FW. Read a book on a rocking chair, explore the lodge. These are the things that I have to make time for in a busy WDW visit.

I like OKW for these type of vacations. The villas are so much larger and you end up spending much more time in them than you would if you did a park trip.
