No Package This Time!!!!

DH and I discussed it and we've decided to not go with the Discovery Magic Package this time. The first time we went to Disney in May of 98, we spent about $1300 and that was room, tickets, AND spending money!! We were there for 4 days and 3 nights. Not bad huh? DH has decided that he really liked the breakfast meals we had at Disney, so I'm going to fit one or two of them into our schedule, maybe even five since we're going to be there 5 days and 4 nights. I don't see us spending anymore than $40 on breakfast....at the Grand Floridian we ran about $45, but there was a gratuity on it. We will probably do more buffets and save $20 or so. As far as tickets go, I will look into getting the 4 day hopper passes. I hope I can find some type of discount considering we are FL residents. The room is a breeze, we're staying at the ASMu and it's going to run $99 a night because we're going during peak season, but I'm not worried about that. I spent about $2700 on the package last year for 9 days and 8 nights...do I regret it....not at all....have I learned from it....CERTAINLY!!! I have 11 months to plan and save for this trip. I'm thinking of letting Dreams Unlimited book my trip for me so I don't have to call for my PS. (Actually, I'm not sure if they do the PS if I don't do a package, but I'm sure I can ask) I would do a room only ressie, but it will just save me some time. Wow...I'm glad I rethought this. It will be fun to plan now knowing I've saved DH and I quite a bit of money.

Hi Denise!

Just wanted to let you know that Dreams will call in your PS's regardless of whether it is a package or room-only reservation Also, Dreams will check back for you as new discounts become available (i.e. Florida Residents discount) that way you don't have to keep calling back to check.
