No NSF charge for me, kinda surprised

That whole thread just cracked me up. Thanks for sharing.

On a side note - I never have figured out how you guys know that someone is a reincarnate poster. It always makes me laugh when you guys know - because I never do! Who was the OP in a previous life?

She's too obvious so she's easy to spot. Sent you a PM.;)

I had to do a little peeking...only looking at the current incantation made me shake my head in disbelief.

I was wondering about that too :rolleyes1

Wow! I haven't been on this board in quite some time, and I had forgotten how openly judgemental some people are when sitting behind a computer.

I don't care WHO the op is...her post was simply that she wasn't charged a NSF when she thought she would be. The posts by bankers and those in the know were helpful in understanding why the fee might not have been charged.

Then the post appeared asking why the op would get gas with so little money in the bank, and I thought, "Oh Lord have mercy, here we go!" People... THAT IS NOT OUR BUSINESS...

Lecturing her on her banking practices, how much money you should keep in the bank, at what point you should be allowed to book Disney trips and talking about her supposed past posts on debt....are of absolutely no relevance to THIS thread.

I guess I'm next on the flaming platform lol, but I just think that if people are going to be so free to offer their opinion on something that isn't even relevant to the thread, then Im free to point out that self righteousness is NOT attractive.

However, none of the rude remarks came from you, in fact you were quiet well composed and while we have a difference in opinion you weren't trying to shove yours down my throat, and I just kept responding cause I really feel like it's worth explaining how it at least works for me. :confused3

I can respect that. :thumbsup2

Well, when said person (AKA OP) brags about how she maxed out multiple credit cards and then "settled" with the credit card companies for pennies on the dollar ~ all while going on multiple vacations ~ yeah, it means you have financial issues.

Sorry I don't know the OP's history but making the general comment does affect others because you just never know. In the case of the OP, if that is the case than I totally understand the comment to her but it was more general.

she is the one who brought all this up! she made it our business by posting the details for comments on a message board.
further - she had 40 bucks in cash sitting around. why not use that instead of risking being overdrawn?

and i'm not sure anyone was wanting to be attractive towards you or anyone else. if the op didn't want comments, she should not be here posting about her financial life on a public board.

.

Actually-when people who purposely live beyond their means, rack uo outrageous credit card bills-pay only a part and basically live a "I dont care" life, they hurt our economy, the stores who wont get paid, and they send a horrible message to their kids on how to live-so its a cycle that repeats itself.
This nonsesns of telling her DH to use all but a few cents out of their checking, when she had the cash on hand-and then being thrilled she wasnt charged a late fee-which is in the $25 range PER DAY-is just another example of poor fiscal living.
