They need a bigger front desk since they are adding dvc units is my understanding.

They can still make waterfalls! anywhere. This can be done anywhere.

Oh no! I stayed at the Poly around 1980 and still remember the water fall in the lobby. It was such a neat thing to see that I'd hate to see it go. I remember standing near it and my mom saying it was making her feel like she had to go tot he bathroom. Now that's a memory!

I am a lover of the Poly, and of the waterfall... But if this is the reason they want to remove the waterfall... I'm all for it!! My husband and I stayed at the Aulani 2 years ago and it was absolutely AMAZING. The lobby area that is open to the pool/waterfront view is nothing short of spectacular.... I may be the only one on this boat, but I for one... Can't Wait to see the new lobby!

awww one more great thing taken away... I stayed there as a kid, and I have always loved that lobby,even when they took away the parrot.... BOO!

Are you forgetting the waterfront view at the Poly is a Florida lagoon, with brain eating amoebas in it? Not the beatiful blue Pacific ocean like in Hawaii. Just something tells me it won't be quite the same view at the Poly. Although I do love looking out over the lagoon to see Cinderalla's castle, you still can't see that from the lobby. If they need room for more check-ins than it's a good thing I guess.
