No need to "activate" Park Ticket or Memory Maker?

15 Days to Go and I just want to be sure I'm thinking of this correctly...

I bought my ticket from UT this year (5 day Park Hopper) and have it linked to my MDE account (also have the physical ticket) - So I should not have to do anything else for my MB to work at the park entrance, right?

I also purchased Memory Maker online through MDE (logged in). It shows in my reservations in MDE with a "confirmation number" that is 17 characters (mix of letters and numbers). Does this mean I'm ready to walk up to any PhotoPass photog and get my MB scanned/pics taken?

The reason I ask is, last year I bought my park ticket and MM online through Disney and chose "Will Call" for both, and had to go to a GR window to activate both. I did notice this year that there was no "Will Call" or other option for MM - I just went through the order process and it showed up in my account with the conf. number.

I just want to be sure I don't have to go to a GR window before I can enter a park or start getting photos taken.

Thanks!

You are ready to go! No need to activate anything if they're in your MDE account. If anyone else is traveling with you and you want their pictures captured as well, you just need to make sure they are in your Family and Friends list in MDE with the preferences set to "this person can view and edit my photos"

Just to be clear, you would not have needed to go to Guest Relations to "activate" a Will Call ticket if you had a MagicBand last year, either.
(I don't know about PhotoPass/MM.)

14 days to go for me and my fiance and everything you asked is exactly what i was wondering myself the past couple of days! glad i saw this thread :)

Yep! We bought our tickets online and the instructions say to pick up at Will Call and bring you confirmation number but there was no need. The tickets and Memory Maker were already on our Magic Band. Now if you're staying off-site and have no Magic Band then you might need to get your tickets still but we stayed at Beach Club Resort so all our tickets and reservations were linked through our MDE account

Thanks, everyone! It's just li'l ol' me on the trip, and I'm onsite, so sounds like I'm good to go. I'm glad to know the facts about the Will Call ticket thing - the young lady checking me in at POFQ last year said I had to go to GR, but she was "Earning Her Ears," so may not have been the best authority.

Yeah - no confirmation. It all worked so seamlessly. Take advantage of memory maker and the photopass people! I got hundreds of photos from just a few days and it was so worth it.
Have a wonderful trip!
