FYI, in my ongoing quest to have the ability to purchase the MYW tix/dining option as a DVC member on points; I emailed MS yesterday...their reply:

"...apologize for your continued disappointment. Please be assured that we are addressing this situation with our Information Technology Dept. and are working to find a solution that will benefit our members. I'm sorry that it will not be available for your upcoming visit..."

Guess they got tired of me emailing them every month. :sad1:

Now, I have to crunch the numbers on AP's, DDE; can always hope for a free dining deal @ the AS's.

I am glad you got a "live" response. It does at least show they are considering things still. It is definately time for an overhaul of the computer systems at WDW - CRO and DVC both I think....or at least DVC. I would LOVE to be able to book online! (and I bet I am not alone in this one) Just think how that might save us in membership fees as well!

Oh well. Hope you get a good savings out of your other options!

I do not book any reservations online I always speak to a CSR. I also have no inclination for the dining package we prefer to cook our own meals. So if they don't end up offering it no big deal really IMHO. We actually don't use any perks for DVC other than pool hopping. We don't use AP's we don't do DDE and never valet park.

Thanks, I've been pleasantly surprised with the overall response time from MS whenever I email them a question.

I agree, booking on-line would be great, especially if your 11 month window falls on the weekend.

Flexibility isn't my stong suit, have to regroup/rebudget my upcoming trips now. Maybe I'll concede and cook a meal on vacation.

My DW and I think that the DVC discount on the AP's and the DDE card are a great deal and more flexible than MYW, although more expensive overall. I may have thought differently if we were not "empty nesters" with only two to buy for. ;)

A family of four and the kids have all surpassed children's pricing. I enjoy my PAP's (looking to use the discount finally now that ours have expired), love my DDE and the flexibility as well as discount on alcohol. I think it might be nice to use a dining pkg, but I fear it would end up costing me more than I already spend. Overall I am pleased withthe perks, but can understand that there isn't a ton of flexibility for those who do not tour and eat the same way we do.

Talk about low maintenance! ;) Since the MYW plan worked so well for us, we had hoped to be able to use it again; guess it all boils down to what you're used to...
