So I believe the first time we went to Disney we had the option to put the hanger on our door to not have house keeping that day, but when DH and I went in January I don't recall that option, but maybe I missed it.

My question is, does anyone know if there is a way to not have house keeping show one day? Honestly I don't need to have house keeping there everyday, I would prefer to make their life easier and my life maybe a bit easier. I always feel obligated to pick up (pretty much clean) the entire room before we head out and just being able to go would be nice. We by no means would leave the room dirty or a mess but sometimes it's nice to be able to crawl into your pjs which have been left on an unmade bed and just drift off to sleep. We typically aren't bed makers at home, yes I know it takes a few seconds but we have long commutes in the morning and those seconds are needed sometime.

The Do Not Disturb hanger should be on the door, so I'm thinking maybe on your last visit it got misplaced by a prior guest. With that said, if you don't find one next time, you could always ask housekeeping for one. Another suggestion is to call housekeeping after you check in and request not to have housekeeping during your stay or call just for the day or days you don't want it. I would imagine they could note your room number and not do it daily per your request :).

We just put out the do not disturb tag on our door at POFQ and the housekeepers never came in. There was just the two of us and plenty of towels so we only had them come in every 3 days.

We put it out one day while we were napping and they left us a huge bag of towels, shampoo, and soap on the door. This was at POP. :thumbsup2

I would agree that if there is not hanger, just call housekeeping and tell them and if you need towels and such, they will drop those off!

Sounds like a plan :thumbsup2

I just wanted to double check because I wasn't sure if it was some new policy or health code to have housekeeping come everyday.

Thanks everyone!
