If anyone's like me, I used to love going into the Twinings Store in UK, and buying a chocolate bar (besides the tea). Well, this time there were no candy bars, so I asked a CM there, and she said they no longer sell any. So sad-I used to love the tradition of buying one and having it for my evening snack. Anyone else-no more.

Oh that’s too bad. We love trying different stuff and have gotten a few different n the UK.

Funny… right now I’m eating KitKat from Japan. My son picked them up and they are yummy!04B7A0D7-2BA2-4AEB-AB84-5449627EEE10.jpeg
Has tofu in it? Lol. Whatever, it’s good!

Cadbury chocolate bars are available in many grocery stores. Other than the novelty of buying them at the UK pavilion, I doubt there is any difference between them.

I would assume this a supply chain issue due to Covid?

Hopefully they will be back in stores at some point.

There’s been significant difference between the recipes used by Cadbury’s USA and the UK variety.

As rangerxenos mentioned some grocery stores have sections with internationally-originated foods. I know our grocery store has a small section of foods from the UK and Ireland, mainly items like tea l, treacle, custard powder, etc. It also has various candy bars from the UK there, stuff like Flake and Yorkie and Lion bars. Things I had only seen in the UK when I lived there. You can also tell they have been imported because there is a nutritional sticker slapped on them to conform with US laws.

Hershey sued Let’s Buy British and Posh Nosh, the two largest importers of British chocolate to the US, for violating their licensing and trademark agreement to use the Cadbury name in the US - and won.

Smaller companies are still importing British Cadbury but if Disney had a deal with one of the larger companies (or doesn’t want to violate Hershey‘s trademark as Disney likes to protect its own trademarks), that might be why they’ve disappeared,

So my grandmother was an immigrant from the UK during WW2 and I grew up eating Cadbury and always loved finding it in the UK pavilion. When we weren’t on our trips, we could find it at local Indian grocery stores. Just some food for thought if you’re looking for Cadbury goodness. Usually the prices aren’t that high, either.

They are not the same in the US...here Cadbury is manufactured and distributed by Hershey. Hershey has an agreement that they cannot bring in the good European chocolate. The US chocolate are much lighter and sweeter, while European is darker and richer. US chocolate also adds edible wax to their chocolate, that is why it turns white when it gets older or frozen. My Brother in law is from Great Britain and his parents bring over the good stuff, when they visit, huge difference and great variety.
