No More Standards At Wl????????????????

Just went to check the system for standards at WL for the 22-26 of september. It didn't show any, are they all reserved?

Those are typically the first to go, since most people probably would rather save a little money than have a view of the courtyard or the lake from the room. We're this way, but usually end up having to take a higher-priced room because people beat us to the standard room punch.

I would say that the allotment of standard view rooms to be booked online are sold out. It does no 100% mean that you could not get a standard view room using Expedia, AAA or some other vendor. I would say give some other vendors a call before you give up hope.

For our Aug 8-15 trip. When we booked in June WL showed no standard rooms. We booked FW cuz kids were bringing a friend each to make it a party of 6, when friends cancelled in mid July we checked again and viola Standard rooms available during our stay. Needless to say we switched.

Just book something acceptable and keep checking, the minute you see standards available call in and switch. Book something NOW, cuz the longer you wait you run the risk of your second choice being booked.

I was just checking disney.com, no standards and no wooods view for Wilderness Lodge, also checked Expedia, none there. My date for a possible trip is the first week of Oct.

When we had to change the dates of our July trip, the computer was saying nothing but the most expensive rooms available at any of the resorts. 2 weeks later when we called again, we had a whole range of choices. We decided to give WL a try and booked a standard. When I went on-line last night to try to see how crowded WL would be during our stay (AKL was COMPLETELY booked during our late May visit.), all levels of rooms remained available. If you didn't get what you really wanted, keep checking back.

From what I understand, there are fewer standard rooms than any other category at WL. Around 30, I read somewhere. When I booked our trip through AAA, there were no standards left with the AAA discount, only woods view and above. I haven't checked back to see if that has changed.

I booked my Nov 27 through Dec 3 stay at WL in March and the standard rooms for that time frame were sold out back then.

Well I booked a courtyard (there goes my budget) I was going to do the free dining but I completely off my rocker now.


Hopefully, something will come up.
