I just wanted to vent to all of you about the snow. I am in Cincinnati and we have about 18 inches of snow on the ground. Thank goodness for these boards. My next trip "home" is May 28 and it can't come fast enough.

LOL - My daughter's last day of school was supposed to be May 26. We are already up to 1 makeup day at the end of the year. But, rest assured, we will board that plane to visit The Mouse May 28 whether school is in session or not :rolleyes1

Stay warm everyone!!

I am outside of Pittsburgh Pa and it is STILL snowing. We have at least 2 feet on the ground already. The kids have only gone to school 1 day last week and half a day yesterday--off again today due to the snow. We are counting down the 15 days :cool1: we have left until AK Kidani. We are going whether a makeup day is scheduled during this trip or not.

LOL....we are up here outside of Cleveland. We lived in Cincy for a couple of years and when there was an inch or two of snow the neighbors would go crazy and call for milk & bread runs. I can't believe the city has enough snow equipment to do the job.

Another Cinicinnatian here - Luckily the snow didn't all fall at once - it came in 3 seperate storms over the last 10 days. It beat the 1914 record for snow!!

I am tired of the snow as well - mostly I am just tired of the kids being home!

I teach at UC, and it went from being just closed this AM to being closed for the day! We have 2 DS's, one lives in Pittsburg, with his New Orleans fiance (she's in shock, for sure:scared1:) and our other DS lives in Boston...they're not as bad this year. However, my DM, who is 90, is living through the worst winter Cape May NJ has seen in a very long time, if ever!

However, I'm hoping for a weekend in WDW coming up, beginning this Friday!!!!

I went to UC for 4 years (+ 2 quarters) and they only called off 1 time - for dangerous wind chills not snow. This sure is a record breaker! Stay warm everyone!

I know - the whole time I was a student there - not once did we get a snow day - shoot we even had classes with our professors on strike! ;)

I've taught here for 15 years, and it is very very rare, but it does happen!

Got about another 6 inches today in CT. Have not seen the ground for some time but have not gotten hit as bad as DC or Cincinnati.

WDW is looking very enticing at this point but I saw on another thread that MK was closed Sunday due to the crowds and 120 minute waits. I suppose Spring Break will be as bad but it will definitely be WARMER!

:goodvibes

In the last four weeks we have gotten 8", 34", 14", and 6". We were supposed to get another 6" yesterday, but we got just a dusting. I think that system shot up to CT. Certainly all the snow on the ground EVERYWHERE must be reflecting the sun and offsetting global warming.... for now.

Today I was in our lunch room at work and the sun was streaming on my back... I could (for a few moments) close my eyes and daydream of VB.

:beach:

Want to trade with me? We are still digging out of nearly 3 feet of snow. The entire DC area was shut down last week and the streets still not completely cleared.

NOPE - we have plenty here!! I feel bad for you guys! I lived in DC during the '96 blizzard and I remember how poorly DC responded! I have thought about how it must stink there right now!!

I think we got another inch tonight. The forecast said very little accumulation but it sure looks like at least an inch to me! I just hope they can plow it so the kids go school tomorrow - I am sick of them being home!!

Freeze warnings here in central Florida again tonight. Today the windchills were in the 30s. Daily highs about 20 degrees below normal, which means our daily highs struggle to match our normal lows. January was 4th coldest on record and February is running a close 2nd place. Warmer weather is promised (?) for next week.

We've gotten over 70 inches since December here in Philly. Most snow in city history for one season. Two weeks till my WDW trip! :cool1:

Hopefully it will be warm at WDW by the end of May.:thumbsup2

Another snowmageddon/snowpocalypse DC area "victim" here...my street got plowed today--for the very first time, after 37 inches of snow in my yard (26 on 2/5 from snowmageddon--which cratered my 2/7-2/12 trip to BLT; and 11 on 2/9 from snowpocalypse)...

VA's usual snow removal plan--"Let It Melt"--has been in full effect here...

I suppose I should be more charitable...but living on a street that's only 7.5 miles from the White House for 13 days w/out any plowing of any kind has kind of worn down my patience!

I was SO happy to see the plow this afternoon! And grateful to the "training" (in walking) I get at Disney...the only places I got to in the last 13 days (grocery store, Sears, local restaurant--1.5 miles away) have been places I could walk to!

And I'll get back to Disney...all the BLT points are now in holding, so I keep looking at time between now & 60 days from now...it'll happen! Guaranteed, one way or another, it WILL happen!

I am from Cincy too and do not have a vacation planned until Thanksgiving with family at WDW....right now that seem like eternity! The weather people are predicting MORE snow for this weekend...with an icy mix- just what I always wanted MORE snow  I would so love to be at Disney right now!!!
