No more single rider line on FOP?

I ride FOP a few times a month but didn’t make it over during the holidays because family kept me busy in the other parks but yesterday when I finally caught a fp and went solo I was so sad to see that my favorite single rider lane #2 was closed.... the single rider lanes usually saved me 10-15 minutes on top of my fp! They called for a single rider within a few minutes and I was listening so it was essentially the same but I hope they bring back the single rider lane!

the official single rider line (the one that you get into from the main entrance of the ride) although installed never went operational. I'm assuming you're talking about being in the regular line right before the first pre show when they call for single rider.
Sometimes CM are just in a hurry to load and don't do the math to get single riders in

Yep, you’re right, they never utilized the official single rider lane but every time before (I’ve ridden at least 50 times) they would sort out the single riders at the point where they put everyone in lanes. Thank you for the heads up, maybe it was just yesterday and not a whole new thing.

wow i didn't realize they had a single rider line! why wouldn't they use it?? that would've been awesome

Just for reference, all of the times I've ridden FoP, they've never utilized any single rider line at any time or point in line. They always just called for the number of riders they needed in the main holding lines, no separation.

They did not separate single riders after scanning at the 2nd magic band check in the FP line, the end of November.
I watched several groups go back with vacancies that a single rider could have filled. The group I finally was put in had 2 vacant spots that I pointed out as I complained in the preflight room.
I guess “they” don’t care.

I'm betting they may do things differently depending on time of day, number of people in FP line/Standby, etc... For what it's worth, I've never been in a pre-show where all the vacant slots weren't filled, they've always been full. It always seems that when I'm there, for whatever reason, they call for 2 riders more than 1.

this was our experience last week, and a few times there were 1-2 spaces open in the pre-show chambers. we thought that was odd considering the posted sb time was often 200+ minutes.
