No more rainbow goofy sour balls?

A friend of mine is in the parks this weekend I asked her to bring me home a couple bags of sourballs my moms absloute fave. I just got a text from her telling me the CM told her they dont make the rainbow bags any more has anyone else heard of this? is it true?

That's weird. We love those as well and we JUST bought some in Feb. If they stopped making them this is new! We bought the cherry ones which are all red and the rainbow which are different flavors. I sure hope that's not true. I would have thought they were popular and we bought a bag every time.

everytime I go I have to buy at least 6 bags one for everyone in my fam when I get back or they fight lol I was shocked when they told me I really hope its not true

Just got back from DL yesterday and checked four different stores --- NO GOOFY SOURS! I was extremely disappointed as they are my favorite that I buy every time I'm there. What the heck? Is there a Disney site we can petition to get them back?

Are these candies that are sold during certain times of the year now or have the CMs said they are gone for good?

It's possible they were just sold out. They're so popular, I can't imagine that they'd stop making them altogether!

They were just out of stock for a good long time last year. They are still carried all over the resort currently.

i was told by a cast member a couple years ago that they were "discontinued" and were only available in the candy shop on mainstreet and it was a fill-your-bag dealio. but i went back a less than a year after that and goofy sour balls were back, but in my opinion they don't taste the same. maybe they changed their recipe or something, but i like the old ones better.
i was also told that there is/was another candy (can't remember the name-- something mad hatters?) that's basically the same as the sour balls. never tried them, so i don't know how they compare.
