No more Pirates Capture 1 on 1 so sad!

Well that was fun while it lasted.

I really enjoyed that even when playing was not friendly a little 1 on 1 game play was totally fun and a good way to hone your pirating skills very sorry VMK removed it.



I really hope VMK considers making this an addition to the capture game it was really fun and kept the docks moving so much more quickly.

If you had a chance to play 1 on 1 what did you think?

I loved it! And I'm not a Pirate fan but when I heard it was available, I made it a point to play! That option, may have swayed me to be a Pirate fan. Sadly, no more! So I guess I'll go back to avoiding Pirates like the plague.

I knew when you informed us it was available, VMK would take it away. I am sad.

As you know bug and I tried it out for a bit, but we soon found ourselves back at 'real' pirates... something about making people go boom... it's soothing

Especially when you pretend the other ships are people you're upset with. It really improves your aim.

A little 1 on 1 action was very soothing! especially for this evil witch!

I was soooooo looking forward to playing pirates after reading the post last night. I am not good at playing games and thought woot...now I can play and finally get some credits on my own! But then to my BIG disapointment now hear that vmk has taken that away! Maybe if we all complain enough...they would bring it back...yea I know wishful think!! But hey when you can't play games well...we can always hope! Please vmk bring 1 on 1 Pirates!!!

You could also play battle 1 on 1 last night. I played a quick game with someone last night and got quite a few credits even though I lost.

I liked the fact that we could do 1 on 1. Sometimes it takes forever to get 4 people to join a game.

See? People were getting too many credits too fast. So they took it away.

I always play Capture the Flag with the same partner, and if I might say so we are pretty good, so the one on one was great to play to see which of us is actually better than the other, it worked out where I have to say it was more or less of a draw anyway…I really liked it while it lasted.

Oh yea I hear yea Mal.... But I was really looking forward to this 1 on 1 bc as I said I don't play games very well... so when you play 1 on 1...I figure it would be great that people could teach you how to play the game! It would be easier to learn when your only playing with one person than 3 or more people.

Well, I only got to play four games last night, but I actually found it terribly boring. Cause you couldn't risk shooting your opponent and sinking them, if you are there for the credits. But it was nice to be in and out so quickly!

Plus, Mal, you KNOW I would have hated it with you! What are a "duck a l'orange" and "evil witch soup" without being able to shoot each other??

All kidding aside, they do seem to be taking away as many of the get rich quick opportunities as they can. I'm on the fence about it. I miss the credits but I like a more level playing field.

I do find it interesting that at my ability level, I get about the same amount of credits for fireworks, ghosts and pirates now! I hope they fix the Ned scoring to be similar.

You make just as much playing one on one as you do two on two.

I liked it because it really was an excellant way to hone your skills and practice new ones and I did learn alot from the one day that I knew about it and could play one on one.


It was a fun,fast ( meaning you and a friend/or stranger could play and not have to sit and wait for others to join to start), profitable learning op.

I am very sorry to see it has not come back.

Mal, I hope it comes back too. I didn't get to try it but I was under the impression that you could earn credits faster with 1 on 1 compared to 2 on 2. I suppose most of that gain would be due to not having to wait in the lobby for four players to join. In any case, the VMK powers that be seem to be removing the faster ways to make credits.
