No More Phoning Ahead for BW Pizza Window

We had a great trip to BWV last week but one minor annoyance was the elimination of the ability to call ahead to the BW pizza window for takeout orders. We did this last May w/ no problem but when I called last week the CM insisted this was not possible, then checked w/ her manager and the answer she received was that they eliminated this perk due to too many guests ordering pizza and then not picking it up.

I asked her to simply charge my room in advance but she replied that this was not possible, so I had to go down to the pizza window, place my order, pay for it, and wait for 15 minutes. Not a huge deal, but annoying nevertheless.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I would think that charging the room wouldn't be a problem. Has anyone asked about getting some kind of system set up for us. It is a great perk.

You can indeed order a pizza from room service and they will bring you one from the Boardwalk, but you will pay a hefty mark-up plus tip. We eat out most of the time when we're at WDW but on the occasional evening that we want something quick and relatively inexpensive, the pizza takeout window can't be beat. Plus it's always quicker to pick it up yourself rather than wait for room service.
