No more paintbrushes?

Now that Tom Sawyer's island is going to be a 'pirate' themed island, does anyone suppose they might still have something similar to win that 'golden ticket"?

If you get to Tom Sawyer's Island soon enough after it opens, you might be able to find paintbrushes laying around. If you see one, grab it and return it to a CM and you get a fastpass.

There are currently no plans to retheme Tom Sawyer's Island at the WDW Resort's Magic Kingdom park.

The retheming at Disneyland was possible because their PotC sits on the Rivers of America and faces TSI. PotC doesn't at WDW, so retheming the island wouldn't make sense.

The paintbrushes are a must for my boys!!! I wonder how long they will look for them before they figure out that there are not any!!

I hope that isn't the case! The paintbrushes are one of those special things at Disney..........

Thank you for correcting me- I must have read about the pirate theme too quickly to notice that it was Disneyland only! We'll have to check when we are there in November to see if they are still hiding them.

That's exactly what I was thinking. A Pirates themed island would be odd in Frontierland since it'd be more geared toward Adventureland!

I'm curious, too, as I'm taking my young nieces and nephew in December. I wanted them to be able to find some paintbrushes!

Apparently, the paintbrush scavenger hunt was stopped because someone took the paintbrushes home instead of turning them in. New paintbrushes have been obtained, so the hunt is back on!

According to my friends, it's not much of a hunt -- they said they've been known to put the paintbrushes either right on the dock or near it, so the first guests of the day usually get them.
