No more Jack Sparrow?

There are a number of articles, mostly from trashy celeb gossip magazines relating to this! A quick google search gave me a few laughs :)

We saw that Jack at the party on the 2nd - we walked by the Mark Twain just as he was finishing his meet and greet, he jumped over the railings and ran over to the pirate dance party thing nearby, then was running all over the place, he had a handler who was trying to keep up with him but couldn't. We also tried to catch up with him as my husband was in a Captain Jack Sparrow costume and wanted a photo with him, but between his running around and the crowds we couldn't catch him either!

He is only brought out now for the Halloween time festivities or if a new POTC movie is being released. I did post an article a few years back about this--it was a "confessions of a former Jack Sparrow..." type of thing. It was removed because it wasn't considered "family friendly". You can still find it online.;)

That was a very interesting article in the Los Angelas magazine, thanks for the link!
Maybe I will make a Halloween trip, next year!:lovestruc

Well, if that's the case, did they get rid of Flynn Ryder as well, he is way hotter than Jack Sparrow, although yeah, Jack Sparrow is pretty hawt.:)

Heard from a cast memeber some years ago that's also why they stopped having Tarzan by the treehouse. Sad that some people can't tell a family park from a bar. :confused3

Love the last sentence. I was wondering what happened to Tarzan. My daughter loved going to visit him and the tree house - of course she spends part of the time crying becasue the movie is "sad" :sad1:

Here is an interesting article I found after I read this thread.

I don't remember seeing Jack last Halloween but my DH swears he did. Too bad I missed it. :(

Thanks for the link. Pretty interesting.

Here is the man of the hour himself at the Halloween party we went to on the 2nd! :)

ya know, Jacks not really Jack if he doesn't have a pink princess book. :rotfl2:

We were in line to see him at the oct 2nd Halloween party too in the mark twain loading dock. About two families in front of us he was switched out and Peter Pan, Wendy and hook came out. Well as much as I would have loved to ooogle jack sparrow, we were all dressed as characters from Peter Pan so it was very fortuitous.

wow that is most unfortunate for the younger kids. (older kids errr i mean Adults too)

Our trip a while ago my oldest daughter was 12 at the time and she is a self proclaimed Capt Jack Sparrow addict. We took a break one night at the Café in New Orleans Square for a bite and rest and were pretty worn out from the day. My oldest went to the bathroom and came running back hyper ventilating, she found Jack Sparrow hidden in the back alleyways of New Orleans Square. It took us 5 minutes to understand what she was saying. I finally figured out what she was trying to say and asked her "Jack Sparrow" she looked at me and stated a matter of fact "no Dad .. Its Capitan Jack Sparrow"

We still have the picture of her and Jack up in our hallway and it is constantly a story we tell many friends about our various Disney trips.

truly a sad day that some people will ruin it for many many others......

cheers
:goofy:

I was there last Tuesday for MNSSHP and he was walking around then, they had him doing meet and greets over by New Orleans square. Dont know if this Is every night but he was there.
