Barely 3 months into the program and they have closed it down. Wow.... can't believe that they reached their 1000 000 allotment of volunteers for the free day passes already. Glad we had an early trip and got in there.

Wow! We were registered and ready to volunteer at the end of the month. At least it was successful:goodvibes

I noticed you said "we were registered". I'm not sure if you realize, but if you were signed up with a volunteer date BEFORE the program closed - you can still volunteer and receive your vouchers!

I have been waiting pins & needles for our volunteer date of March 25th! :goodvibes

Today I'm going to phone the co-ordinator and make sure she realizes we are still coming. I do not think she would have cancelled but I may as well make sure!

Ahhh I mailed my blankets on Sunday before it had closed - I had until April 2 to get them completed and sent in but now when I look at my account it says the date for this voulenteer activity has passed. I'm hoping I will still get my tickets! I know they recieved the blankets yesterday according to my shipping info! I guess I wait and see now!

We are also registered and set to volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society at the end of this month. The Disney Site and Hands On Network site does say that the 1 million tickets have already all been accounted for by those have either already volunteered or committed to volunteer. So I think we are good. We had planned on a one day trip with these tickets to the World before our DCL Cruise in the fall. :)

yes... sorry... I guess I should have posted it is closed to any NEW registrations for volunteering

We completed out volunteer activity yesterday and are now awaiting the confirmation.

Hmmm, I'm noticing a discrepancy with mine too. On the Disney site it says;
the date for this volunteer activity has passed. next to our names. But when I sign in to the Hands on Network portal it shows that our day to volunteer is still next Sunday as planned. I hope things work out.

It also says Pending verification so I'm hoping that just means it's been accounted for and the tickets will still come.
We were hoping for a long weekend trip sometime in the fall!

No I did not know that thanks for letting me know. We are supposed to volunteer March 27 for a childrens theatre fundraiser by helping with face painting and running the ice cream station....how cool eh!

mine said that the day they received the blankets (had the tracking number)(this was friday)
then 3 days later we got the email to print the vouchers
that was on Monday

Now I'm confused... mine does not show an actual DATE. It jsays under Volunteer Activity Status "the volunteer is signed up for an upcoming activity" and under Action Required "volunteer for a day". :confused3

I phoned 3 seperate times (when I started hearing it was going to end) to make sure we were set up correctly and each time I was told we would be fine. It better be fine!!!

Guess I'm phoning again today!

DaniB, If I'm understanding correctly, the message you are getting is posted when you log in at the Disney site, right? That would be the same place where I am being told that my 'date to volunteer has passed'.
If you look near the top of the page, on the right hand side, there is a box that says;

Need to do any of the following?

* View status of your volunteer opportunity.
* Remove a volunteer from an activity.
* Cancel your volunteer opportunity.

Go to HandsOn Network ( <-This part would be a clickable link)

After clicking the link, I am taken to the portal for the Hands on Network, and THAT is where I can see my date and time for my volunteer opportunity. Once there, you need to click on the option to Change / Cancel the opportunity(s) that I have signed up for to see all of the details.

I hope that helps. :goodvibes

Next Monday we are making our blankets and are sending them. I registered 2 weeks ago, so I should be good right?? :rolleyes1

And I got my email with my tickets today :cool1::banana:

Off to print them now!!!

I'm about to mail mine in, I know I'm suppose to print and send the last page, am I also suppose to send a picutre of us?

Bless you!! I followed your directions and yes it does have our volunteer date & time. I never did phone as I became too busy the past couple of days, but I have been worrying that we were not truly signed up correctly. Thank you so much!! :hug:

It says that they want a picture of you working on the blankets. DH took a pix of me and the kids packing the blankets to ship. We were approved quite rapidly. A friend said she got a call though because not everyone was in the picture she sent... I guess it depends on who is looking at the pictures. Good Luck! Calena
