No More FREE Parking at the Swan/Dolphin!!

Mears is buying new buses and Disney is setting up the computer systems to check in the luggage. I doubt the service will be dropped after the celebration.

It may have a charge or may only be free in some packages but I doubt Disney will be dropping it.

The cynic in me thinks one reason for the program is to discourage car rentals and towncar grocery stops. The program should increase somewhat the money the guests spend on property. If Disney can quantify the increase in meals and souvenir spending the program may very well stay free.

I think you are right and if Disney figures this makes them money by keeping you away from Universal/Sea World etc.. then they might just keep it free. They do lots of market surveys and will be asking some of us just this type of question.

I wonder if Disney will capture enough car rental guests to be able to reduce the size of the resort parking lots? I'd think most resorts would be able to expand some of their facilities if not add rooms.

DH and I have used the Teachers' Rate in the past, which is now almost impossible to get for a full week during the summer. (when many teachers have the time to travel) The thought of paying top dollar is out of the question at least until our society decides that paying teachers more than lip service about our children's future etc. comes to pass. We have given up on S/D. In the future if we do have the funds to spend $176 plus per night we will opt for WL or AKL in their standard view room. I think those who are unhappy should call and write to Starwood and let their voices be heard. We have.
