No more ELP at CA??

I know the rumors are that it will be coming back to Disneyland (not soon enough, IMO)... the Disney Insider said this in the Nov. 10 issue: The ELP is still running at Disney's California Adventure, where it has been since 2001.

Today's issue said: Oops! In our 11/10 issue, we said that the Electrical Parade was running at Disney's California Adventure Park. This is no longer true - the parade ended its run there in August, 2009.

So is it moving? I hope it's not going away forever! That would be very sad!

I know it's usually there for the holidays between Christmas and New Years but this makes it sound like it won't be this year.

Last I checked (sometime last week) it was on the schedule during the Holiday Season. Starting on 18 Dec.

IT's seasonal. Runs for the summer and the two weeks of Christmas/New Years. Yes it'll be back Dec 18-Jan 3.

That's what I thought, but I've never seen it posted where it says the parade ended it's run!

Everytime I see it at DCA part of me feels "this may be the last time for awhile...", so glad to hear I will be able to enjoy it again over the holidays.

By "ended its run", I think they mean for the period of time it was currently showing. It will start running again on Dec. 18 and "end its run" for the holidays on Jan 3rd.

I've seen them phrase it this way before. I wish they would just use the Dis terminology for when the DEP goes on hiatus, which is "goes dark". I think it's more clever and adds hope that it will light up again.

I agree! Although I was hopeful that the rumor I heard as I eavesdropped on a CM at WCT was true; he told some other guests that it would be moving the DL, but didn't say when.

Yep, Al Lutz has been talking about that rumor for a while now. They thought it would be moved back to DL for the 55th anniversary celebration. I'm thinking maybe over the summer??

ooooh!! I sure hope so, that would make my husbands trip more memorable, since we both LOVE DEP! Disneyland News today just states that it starts up 12/18/09, unfortunately it doesn't say how long it will run for, so I was just assuming it was for Christmas holidays.

No, they are draining the rivers of America, so no fantasmic until it is refilled, several months I believe.

For your dates, Fantasmic should be shown on the 2nd and 3rd of January.
(In a few days the official calendar should show this information.)

Although it isn't official, Fantasmic is expected to be dark from Janary 4 to June 10, 2010.
