NO More Disney Magazine?

Is it true that the issue of Disney magazine currently on news stands, which celebrates Dsineylands 5oth, is the last issue???

Just for the record, I hope it's not. I look forward to that magazine. I like to catch up on what's new around the worlds of Disney, and i like to have something to look forward to.

Maybe it seems a little sily, but I'm a newlywed and I know children are somewhere in my future. I want my children to have what I had as a kid. I know it may be blatant advertising, but I liked the magazine, I like the classic Disney movies or Disney channel, and I absolutely LOVED the Disney travel shows they used to out o TV. What happened to all thing Classic Disney? As a child I looked forwad to our Disney trips b/c of all these things. But, I feel like if the Disney Co. keeps taking these little things away, my kids and other kids aren't going to look forward to trips to Disney b/c they won't have anything that gets them excited about it.
Anyway, I hope it's not true about the Mag.

It is true, they sent all subscription holders that info some time ago and we had to choose a refund, Disney Adventures mag or Family Fun mag. :-(

Yes it is true and I miss it as much as everyone else here. I'm hoping (I know wishful thinking) that the magazine will resurface as something else. We have subscribed to it forever and I always enjoyed reading it.

I subscribe and do not recall ever getting anything asking me to choose a refund or other magazine.

Yep. Just one more reason Disney enthusiasts have to go to a 3rd party for content about the parks.

I also enjoyed receiving and reading the Disney magazine. I think it's a foolish thing for management to discontinue such a great publication. I recently recieve my refund check since we have no need of the other magazines offered.

The disney magazine will be missed in my family. We all liked reading it. I think it was a really foolish move to get rid of it. I wonder why they did something like that.

I came here because this weekend I realized the crud they are pulling on this...and I hoped someone else was as steamed as I am!

My Disney Magazine subscription was paid up through Spring of 2008. Mind you, a year of the Disney Magazine was priced at about $20. I chose Disney Adventure for my kids...assuming I would have it through March or April of 2008. Nope...they only gave me a subscription through the end of this year...December '05. A year of Adventures magazine cost me $8 the last time I paid to subscribe to it. So, I am not receiving almost $60 worth of magazines...and in return I get $5 worth?!?! How does that turn out to be fair!???

They didn't price Disney Magazine cheaply...it's really unfair of them to replace by just finishing out this year with replacements, rather than by continuing replacements for the length of subscription.

This week three (3) months of back copies of Disney Adventure magazine arrived...and based on their cover dates, I think we have maybe two copies left to arrive...that isn't even an equal number of copies! I would have had 12 more copies of Disney Magazine coming...and we get 5 in return.

I've learned my lesson!!! I'm done with all the Disney magazines. My kids love Nickelodeon magazine...I'm going to go ahead and subscribe to it instead of any of the Disney junk!
