No more Diapers!!

DS is finally potty trained! DD has been trained since last summer. DS was the hold out. I feel like throwing a party...for me.

If I save all the money I've been spending on diapers/pullups/wipes every month I'll get to WDW in no time.

My fourth (and last) son will be three next week and he doesn't show any sign of wanting to use the potty (unless we're at the mall or somewhere else in public). I don't expect too much, my other three were well over three years old when they stopped wearing diapers. Oh well, it'll happen sometime. In the mean time I'll just give you a big thumbs up!

Congratulations and good for all of you who are recently diaper-free! It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it? And, no matter how careful you are with coupons and sales, diapers still take a big bite out of the budget. I thought potty training was the most stressful thing I accomplished as a parent--until I started teaching them how to drive! Good Luck!

Congratulation!! I'm green with envy!! My DS 27 months does not even know what a potty chair is yet! He's language delayed & because of this, the pediatrician recommends waiting but I'm getting anxious, especially since he points (you know where) when he's done something!

When my now DS8 was potty trained, we also thought we'd be rich by not having to buy diapers anymore. Unfortuantely, we have no idea what happened to that money that we would have spent on diapers!! It just kind of disappeared in thin air each week anyway!!

Oh im doing a happy potty dance for you! when my twins were out it was the best feeling. My DD was potty trained by fairies magically on our Dec. 2002 trip to Disney, it was awesome! What a magically memorable trip!!

Congratulations!! I'm so jealous! My DS is 3 1/2 and he refuses to go on the potty, I've stopped pushing him though because the more I push the harder, he refuses. Oh wel,l he'll go eventually....lol.

Congratulations.... We are finally diaper free, too. My dgd is 3 1/2 and she finally will wear 'big girl panties' rather than her most favorite 'diaper panties'... Now we can plan a disney cruise!!!!! YEAA!!!!!!!!!

When our youngest crossed into the realm of "potty trained", my wife threw out the diaper bags and informed me that our family was complete. There was no way that she was going to go back to changing diapers. At least not until we have grandbabies.

Congrats. You might want to put some of that diaper money away to pay for car insurance when your kids are old enough to drive.

Spencer was the same way (he'll be 4 in April). Last week he refused to "go" at all...almost had to take him to the hospital. I felt like I was going crazy trying to think of ways to convince him to use the potty. Wednesday night I gave up and went to have a coffee with a friend. DH told DS "do whatever you want" and then proceeded to ignore him. A little while later Spencer went into the potty all by himself and took care of business. He then acted like it was no big deal. No accidents since. (he hasn't had #1 accidents for a while)

Spencer's language delayed also. We obviously weren't overwhelmingly successful (I mean, he's almost 4), but we used lots of visual clues instead of verbal. DS and DH spent a lot of "quality" time in the bathroom together until DS figured out what he was supposed to do. He then refused to do it.
