NO more Chicken Strips????

I'm listening to WDW Today right now and they mentioned that they now serve Chicken nuggets instead of Chicken Strips at Columbia Harbor House. I checked on AllEars and it seems to be true! AAAGH! I love Disney's chicken strips! Are they gone everywhere? Are the nuggets like the old kid's ones? Can I get chicken strips anywhere now?

Yeah they are gone. Disney thinks "nuggets" are healthier than "strips". I haven't checked everywhere but no one has been reporting that they still exist anywhere on disney property. Maybe if you go to McDonalds @ DTD.

Say it isn't so! McD's are no where as good as Disney's were. This is really going to mess up my eating plans for my trip. I'm glad I discovered it now instead of when I got there!!

I dont think you should worry, I have read on other threads that they are similar to the strips just in a nugget shape, nothing like mc d's!

My kids (14 & ) had the new nuggets in June. DD14 said they were fine, but liked the strips better (more for the shape) DS11 liked the new nuggets much better. I can say that they were all white meat but I never tried them

I don't buy the health thing - changing to nuggets means they can serve smaller portions of chicken. Especially since the nuggets are exactly the same as the previously used strips - just smaller pieces.

You might be able to get strips on some kids' menus at TS restaurants, or at buffets.

Nuggets are smaller than strips. The portion of chicken per guest is smaller. You can get an order of 6 or 8 nuggets - if you want more nuggets, you pay more for them. That's the reason.

I have a feeling that it has to do with portion size and cost savings. To say it is health related is a bit strange since either way they are breaded. I personally don’t care because I think the minute you bread chicken you hurt its nutritional value so I don’t eat it. This is only my opinion and not meant to justify their decision.

They are terrible and I usually crave the Chicken strips. It is hard for me to eat at CS places now that the strips are gone. They are actually worse than Mcdonald's nuggets.

My DD is going to be very disappointed since that is the thing that she most looks forward to when we tell her that we're going to WDW I personally think Disney is cutting corners everyway possible and this is just one more thing they're taking away from the paying guest.

I beg to differ, they were not the same. They were more like a pressed chicken, they were really nasty, really, really nasty.

I think that Disney just wants to save some cash. More cut up pieces but a smaller total volume = it looks like more food. They also rose the prices

They are not McD's, they're the same as the strips, just a less quantity for more money

This is what I was afraid of. That's why I haven't tried them. I would have rather they offer a 2,3 or 4 "strip" choice. I've yet to eat a "nugget" that wasn't full of filler. Popcorn chicken would have been preferrable since they don't have all the filler garbage.

Even a popcorn chicken would be better than those nuggets. At least I can have the fish basket at Columbus Harbour House and the ribs and rotisserie chicken at Starlight Rays.

I was in WDW in April and had those chicken nuggets at the Columbia harbor..They were actually pretty good!!!

See, I think there is a difference between these new nuggets and the former nuggets on the kid's menu. It sounds like the new nuggets are similar to the old strips. Maybe they still have those weird kid's meal nuggets, too. They were pretty dry and tasteless. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

It is absolutely the same as the strip, just less food for a higher price

I am a chicken strip LOVER..but these were smaller in size and I just didnt have to cut them to dip in my catsup....they taste the same and are not fillers ..but white chicken meat........I know the difference between white pressed chicken from mc donalds.....
