Somehow in all of my keeping up with all things Disney, how did I miss that you can no longer rent pontoons at the Mods?! We were at POR last week, and I was told they stopped a few years ago? Not a huge deal, I just assumed since the shuttles ran to Disney Springs it must be some kind of safety issue. I thought it was just a POR thing, but I'm looking now and CBR no longer offers it either? My family always enjoyed it, as I think it was a great value for $45 to take a ride around in a pontoon some days. Is this being phased out property wide? Kind of a bummer. Oh well.

Think it only has gone from mods, deluxe and the campground have them. Think it was just that the boat company wanted to concentrate on the resorts that make s them more money.

Personally, if I was going to rent a boat of any type, I would prefer to rent from one of the MK resorts anyway. It's nice to have the wide open spaces of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake instead of the smaller facilities at Crescent Lake (Epcot resorts) or at the mods. We have spent many afternoons riding around in Bay Lake and even when it's busy, it still feels like you pretty much have the lake to yourself.

We just rented a pontoon boat from the contemporary on Thanksgiving day.
I think they stopped just at the mods.

We've rented them at yacht club and definitely thought it was cool being able to cruise around with HS in the background.

We liked riding around CBR. Just adds to the resort atmosphere. Definitely a minus without that ability now. Always wanted to rent one on Bay Lake. Might be the only option now anyway....

Yes the stopped at the Mods. It is basically a Deluxe amenity, with FW in the mix as well.
I agree, the MK resorts are the most fun, but it is a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon whereever

The only "Boat Resorts" now are the Contemporary/Fort Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge/Polynesian/Grand Floridian/Yacht Club.:)
