No more 100 credits when chests are empty??

I thought someone had confirmed that you get 100 credits when the treasure chests are empty. I never really looked afterwards, just sort of took it for granted. But today I got 4 empties and when I looked at my credits, I still had 78. Not 478. Did they do this and then stop or what is the story? Did the 100 credits ever happen or was it just a rumor?

It happened. They stopped it a couple weeks ago for reasons unknown
