No Mickey Meet and Greet or Princess Pavilion as yet today

I am appalled at Disney management.

Good for them for standing by their friend, I would hope my friends would stand up for me in that way.

I know this will ruin people's holidays, but imho some things are more important than a holiday, or a child meeting a character - this is someone's life and they should not be treated in this way by their company! I would be gutted if it happened to us, but in this circumstance, I would stand by them totally - and join in with a protest too!

I 100% agree.

What actually happened ?

How do you mean ?

The girl said on the news report that her aggresseur harrassed her verbally to start with and then by touching her up over a period of 3 years.

He was tried, sanctionned, came back and took up his job as before and she was moved to another service.

That's what I meant as the link wouldn't open for me. Sounds horrific for the poor girl .

Hope disney have sorted it. Although with that sort of job working very closely and interactively with the public and children you would expect some sort of clause in their contract preventing them to return to work once charged with sexual and violent crimes.

You would wouldn't you :confused3 Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Harassement is such a minefield in my experience :sad1:

Ive just returned from my holiday, and although I understand the reasoning behind it, my holiday was ruined. The parade was cancelled everyday I could have watched it and the only time I saw any charcters was the last day on the train....

But what really got me was they only announced the parade cancellation 5 mins before the parade was due to start each day and wed been waiting 20 mins!

They should have had signage up so at least we didnt waste our time running around to be in a certain place at the right time...

I do feel sorry for you and others in the same circumstances despite understanding the CMs' dilemma. I agree leaving the announcement to the last minute is not fair. I suppose the management is living in hope up to the last minute but that is not good enough for the guests. As a minimum I would have thought they could put up notices along the parade route an hour before parade time advising that it would be cancelled so people didn't waste their time staking it out. If you are forewarned you can concentrate on enjoying what else is on offer in the parks.

I totally agree with you, anything like this should be a big no-no when dealing with the public or children. I can't believe there's nothing in French law to stop it.
And this guy must have some neck to remain in the job when he is causing so much trouble! If I was convicted of something like that there is no way I would want to return to the scene of the crime, so to speak, to have to face these people everyday knowing what they think of you. And that the whole department is willing to strike because they don't want you there! Surely you'd want to go somewhere new without that hanging over your head. It shows he obviously has no shame or remorse over what has happened. Disgusting IMO. :(
