I ordered my tickets online from WDW website. They will be delivered so I'm assuming it will be something along the lines of the old KTTW card??? Is that also what we'll use for our FPs?

I was surprised that it wasn't just a receipt that I had to print out and bring to guest services to get our actual admission media. I think I'd actually prefer that because I could reprint and not have to worry about losing something...

It should be a card with an RFID chip in it. It will work just like Magic Bands at the tap points (Mickey heads), but will not work for the long-range readers, like on rides where they add your photo automatically to your PhotoPass account or Memory Maker. Should you choose to do so, you can buy Magic Bands at the parks and once linked, they can replace your card (or really they can both be used interchangeably).

Take a photo of the back of the card, and you don't have to worry about losing it. Just take the photo to GS and you can have it replaced.

Yep you will get a physical card in the mail and will already be linked up to your MDE account. And as long as it's linked on your MDE account, if it you lose you will be ok because there is already a record of it.

We are only going 2 days and staying off-site but we're going to buy magic bands beforehand at the disney store website. Even for only two days we think it will be a lot more convenient, and they pretty cheap! You just can't get the special characters online - you can only get the solid color ones.
