No luggage tag for DME...

I've been using magical express for years, but never ran into this issue before. Group of 3 all arriving same day/resort. Mickey mail arrives and I'm missing from all the DME info and no luggage tag for me. We called weeks ago to fix it, were told the tags were being sent out. I leave next in 5 days still no tags.. Called DME back they said to just make sure my bag is clearly labeled, that I don't need the luggage tag they will still find and deliver the bag. That this happens everyday for guests booking last min that don't have enough time to ship tags. I hate to make the others wait for half an hr at the luggage carousel just for my bag when theirs are getting delivered. But leaving the airport with no tag on my bag, I'd feel better hearing from others who have done this..

Although I have not done this, there are plenty of stories of it being done. Makes sure you stop by the DME counter and give them the luggage tags from the airlines (you might also need to give descriptions of the bags). Do NOT get on the bus without giving this information to someone.

A.
Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, go directly to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center and speak with the Disney Cast Member.

If you have received your MagicBands, please be sure not to pack them in your checked luggage, as they will be used to check in with Disney’s Magical Express and to unlock your room when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel.

If your flight arrives between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM, please provide us with the checked baggage claim numbers that you received from your airline when you checked your bags. We will obtain your information, collect your luggage and deliver it to your room at your Disney Resort hotel.

For airport arrivals after 10:00 PM, you must collect your luggage at Baggage Claim and take it with you on the motorcoach.

Does anyone in your party have an extra tag you can use?

You can make a color photocopy of one of the other tags if you are staying in the same room. Use plenty of transparent "package tape" to make it into a flap that won't tear easily.

UNLESS, you're an international guest. Our poor magic bands don't have passports so we pick them up at check-in . You CAN board the ME without one

It all worked out. Coming from Vancouver, BC, just gave my checked bag receipt to the guys at the DME check in counter before boarding the motor coach. My bag got to the resort no problem!
