hi ,
i was booked at akl for 4 nights and csr for 9 nights with the axa code. this new czf code is even better and i was able to use it for akl but not for my nights at csr, although the other moderates were all available, i even had the cm play around with my dates a bit but no luck.:( i am very excited about the great rate at akl but cannot stay there for the whole trip( Canadian dollar still costing me 50% more). so...this is my 1st solo trip and i chose csr because dd and i LOVED it last year and i know my way around and feel comfortable there..and do have a good rate of 104.00 a night...but i could get one of the other moderates for 10.00 (more like 15.00 canadian) cheaper a night. so do i stick with something i know i'll like or take a chance on something new....decisions, decisions :(

oh, i do have an ap, any chance of getting an ap rate if i already can't use this new code during my stay?

We have exactly the same "problem". We have CSR June 1-5 with AXA code (2 rooms since there are more than 4 of us) so the new code will save us $20/nt but it's not available at CSR. We had thought of staying at ASMo as a back up but not available there either. We're trying to decide between 1 wing room at CR, 2 rooms at POR or 2 rooms at All Star Sp....just when I thought had it figured out ;). At least it's fun to research!

BTW a really nice CM at CRO today named Heidi who was quite knowledgable mentioned that there may still be hope with AP rates and to try back first thing if/when they are released.

I have ressies at CSR in May. I'm going to try to get the CZF code applied as soon as they open! I will keep you posted.

Just because I love it - I would take CBR if I could get it with the savings/code.

The code was available at CSR during our stay June 17 - 22.

I am not sure if this is why CSR is booked during your stay, but there is a scrapbook convention there during June 5 - 7.

I called 3 times, 3 different CMs and all said the code was not available for Coronado during my stay. I checked with DH and he still wants to stay there. He's not worried about an extra $10 per night - we are okay with $104 per night so we will stay.

I will try again when / if AP rates come out. If AP rates are really low, and not available at Coronado, then maybe we would think about switching.....but I really doubt it.

thanks everyone for your replies:D i think i will hold out and hope for an ap rate for my nights at csr, 104.00 is still a pretty good rate. i'm thinking if csr is booked due to conventions i may not get an ap rate either. i think i'll probably do the same as you Pig Pen, if ap was a lot cheaper then i might switch resorts again. however, i do think this trip i'll feel better in a resort i already know. dd and i are planning another trip in dec and although i'm hoping for a good rate at wl, if not we'll be staying at a moderate and dd would like to try por or pofq. i think it would me nice to wait until then to experience it for the 1st time with her :D i'm sure i would like cbr too Trekker, but think i'll resort hop to get a feel for it this coming trip first. sure wish disney would save us the trouble and offer these codes when we 1st book, but it is helping to pass the time waiting checking everyday and hoping;)

Same here... have $104 at CSR with AXA, but was unable to get the new code. No biggie for me, because it's only a three-night reservation, so the new code would only save me $30 total. However, if I had a 9-night reservation like you, I might think more carefully... $90 is a fair amount.

I just changed to POR for our 8 rooms we have booked (family of 6 for 4 nights so we need 2 rooms/night). This saved us $80. We'll keep an eye out for AP rates but it seems there is a scrapbook convention the week we're there so it may not be available. Just received our Disney Vacation Planner DVD today. POR looks nice as does CBR. Heck the All Stars looked great too! We could stay anywhere! Hope you all get the rates you want!:)
