"We were seated in a small room all the way inside the restaurant. We actually liked sitting there since the noise level at the main restaurant was pretty loud."



"Bread basket and butter...




"They were okay."



"I ordered Georges Bank Scallops with French Curry Spice, Squash Ravioli, Local Citrus Butter, and Sylveta Arugula Salad (no photo received). Our waiter, Ron, asked how I would like it: original way they prepare the scallops, which people think they are underdone or cooked all the way. I asked for the original way the prepare, which was a good choice. They were tender, not rubbery, and the curry spice had a nice kick to it which I loved. By the way, the squash ravioli was awesome. I could have just eaten the ravioli and would have been happy."



"DS ordered the Dragon Roll...."




"He was happy with his choice ad almost ate the whole thing minus two pieces."



"I had Selbach-Oster Riesling, which went well with my dish since the sweetness of the riesling cut down the spicy curry. It also went pretty well with the Kazan."






"When we finished our entrees, Wishes was about to start but we didn't want to wait for dessert and we were pretty full so we asked Ron what travels well. He suggested cheesecake...





...and DS chose a kids dessert."



"Rice Krispie sushi."


"Our desserts tasted great even after one day of sitting in our fridge. The lemon cheesecake went well with the orange and grapefruit accompaniments."


"We definitely had an excellent meal at Cali Grill. We will definitely return in the future!"

He said, "We've been home almost two weeks and I haven't finished my reporting, so sorry. But hopefully I can get it all in tonight. So here it goes."



For Jill's (jedijill) birthday we had dinner at...





"We had a basket of bread...




...and Lee Ann had gluten free rolls."





"I had the Heirloom Tomatoes Salad...



...and the 24 hour Short Rib and both were wonderful."





"Lee Ann had the Bell & Evans Chicken, it was also great."




"Even though it wasn't on the menu it had a chicken sausage with it that was great (at least I thought so)."



"For dessert I had the Warm Homemade (banana stuffed) Fritters...




... and they gave us a Creme Brulee for Jill's Birthday."





"Food was very good, especially our entrees, but the service was not. We would definitely do it again though."​

"Anyway, I had the Smokey Portobello Soup, which is as good as everyone has said."






"I had the Pacific Northwest Trio that included Slow Roasted Buffalo Strip, Venison Loin, and Wild Game Sausage."



"It was good and not something we would eat too much back in KC."



"Lee Ann had the Slow Cooked Crispy Breast of Chicken with Duck Confit, her side dish was baby potatoes."





"Again the food was wonderful but service was a bit goofy."​

She said, "On Nov. 4, Monday morning, we had a Chef Mickey's ADR at 7:30 am."






The buffet line was actually really busy whole time so I didn’t take pictures. Here are some pictures of our plates and DS’s cupcake for his birthday celebration. Our of three breakfast buffets, Chef Mickey’s was my least favorite. The food weren’t that warm/fresh and I didn’t like the atmosphere either. However, DS was happy because he met all the “main” characters at once without waiting in line at the park.

She said, "We spent another morning at Epcot and received a bag of Craisins each and it was good snack while waiting in line for rides."





"While DH took DS for a ride on Mission Space, I went to get us a caffeine boost from...














"Caramel macchiatto for me and Latte for DH."




"They were a great way to use snack credits."​

She said, "After some time in Future World, we decided to spend time at Stormalong Bay. DH swam with DS but I graciously declined since it was a bit chilly this day. We eventually got hungry and got lunch at...











"DH and I both got a Lobster roll...





...and DS got a Bacon Angus Cheeseburger."




"The lobster roll actually had lots of small lobster, scallop, and shrimp pieces. DS said that the burger was pretty good and fries were piping hot. It was way too much food for us. I think three of us could share two orders and it would be the perfect amount."



"We also got Mickey bars for dessert."




"We picked them up almost 2 hours later and they still gave them to us without any fuss."



"I also took some menu pics and Lounge pictures while DH and DS spent the rest of the afternoon swimming."

He said, "Lee Ann and I went to The Discovery Of Chocolate seminar put on by Julian Rose from Moonstruck Chocolates in Portland Oregon. We tried four different chocolates (one from Mexico was missing)."









"A white chocolate from Zephyer, a milk chocolate from Ghana, a 70% dark from Saint Dominique, and a Tanzania 75% dark. Of course they were all good, it's chocolate."



"We also had a Mole Chicken with Pure Venezuelan Chocolate and Panko Polenta Squares...













... and for dessert (after all that other chocolate) we had Spiced Hot Drinking Chocolate, Miniature Dark Chocolate Truffles, and Chocolate Mousse."




"We also had several pours of the Banfi Rosa Regale (no pics)."


"It was a good experience, informational and good food."​

"Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures until about halfway through but when you eat with chopsticks it takes a while. I had a Bento Box with Sirloin Steak, a California Roll, Tempura Shrimp and Vegetables, and Sashimi with tuna and salmon."






"Lee Ann had Grilled Chicken and vegetables (sometimes gluten free sucks, sorry honey)."





"Good food and service."​

"We had our final meal at Old Key West's...









"We had breakfast there about three times during our trip. I had the Poached Eggs and Hash."




"The eggs are served over Sweet Potato Hash and has Key West Hollandaise with multigrain toast."



"Lee Ann had Olivia's Breakfast with bacon, potato casserole (earlier in the week they had said this wasn't gluten free) and gluten free toast."





"We enjoyed our breakfasts here. Good food and good service."

She said, "On Nov. 4 we had an 8 pm ADR at...

Flying Fish Cafe
















"We skipped appetizers. DH ordered the Oak Grilled Wild-caught Thunder Surf and Surf."




"His dish was awesome. The fish was great and the accompaniment went well with the dish."



"I ordered the Signature Flying Fish Cafe Entree Duo: Char-crusted Angus NY Strip Steak and Potato-wrapped Red Snapper."







"The potato-wrapped red snapper was so very good. The crisp potato went well with the tender fish. I thought that the char-crusted NY strip steak was a little salty though. DS had the NY strip steak and he loved it since he likes salty dishes."











"We chose the Banana Napoleon...





...and the Frangelico-laced Dark Chocolate Mousse."








"The Napoleon is the BEST dessert we had in this trip. The Dark Chocolate Mousse was decadent and very rich. The dark chocolate ice cream cut the sweetness of the cake. I also had Earl Grey tea which I forgot to take a picture of. Our waitress Rebecca was wonderful as well, all through the meal. We will definitely return to Flying Fish!"

He said, "On Saturday morning, my friends and I had breakfast at...



...where I had never been before. The breakfast buffet usually had a line, but the options were very delicious. I loved the biscuits and gravy and the grits."





"At 1:00, we attended another F & W Culinary demonstration, this one featuring lobster and the chef from Cinderella's Royal Table."










"We enjoyed watching and trying the lobster ravioli."

Wow I got WAY behind on this thread! This semester is starting to get a little busier now. All the food looks really good and makes me miss Disney so much!

Our next update yesterday was from the F & W Festival and was sent to us by mousegear.


She said, "On Nov. 5, we decided to spend some time at Animal Kingdom to get our share of Expedition Everest and Dinosaur. We rode each 2 - 3 times and exited out of AK by 9:50AM and went to Epcot to try the F&W booths."


They started with...


HAWAII









"Hawaii - pork slider. It was great! DS loved it and he ended up getting it three times (in a few days)."












"Trick'n Chick'n Curry - it was ok. We didn't like fake chicken that much but the curry had some heat and went well with the rice and chicken."




"Next was...









"Pork belly - it was well cooked and DH and DS loved it."









"At Mexico, we tried both the shrimp taco and beef taco. The shrimp taco was tasty and the beef was ok. I cannot find the picture of the tacos though."











"Black pepper shrimp - this was ok. I thought the noodles lacked flavor and were a little greasy. However, DS and DH had no problem finishing it off."








"Baked ravioli - this was rich and good. It's pretty big, one of bigger dishes."




"Now, this is where my camera failed. I forgot to charge the battery the night before and couldn't take anymore pictures. We did enjoy several more booths before we exited out to the Beach Club."


"At some point though, we returned to Epcot to do more F&W booths and we stopped by France to get their ice cream again."



"This time, I got the Hazelnut on a waffle cone...




DH got coffee on a waffle cone, and DS again got the mango sorbet."

She said, "We arrived at the Yacht Club this morning and are enjoying a relaxing day at Stormalong Bay. We had lunch at...








"DD had the Kids nuggets and I had the Kids grilled cheese and a Sunken Treasure...







Sunken Treasure - Malibu Rum, Midori, orange juice, pineapple juice and Sprite with a splash of BOLS Blue Curacao


"DH had the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and arugula with a Blue Point White IPA...







"Everything hit the spot after an early morning of traveling! DD loved playing with the pail and shovel that the kids meal was served in!"

"The Bibb is from the Land at Epcot and the salad had a nice kick to it which was balanced by the creamy Gorgonzola and the sweetness from the nuts."
